I was thinking about that PSU but I have been advised on OC.net forum that it's overkill and expensive ... So I went for AX850 ...#

and thanks I am going for MSI 1536MB GeForce GTX 580 Lightning NVIDIA Graphics Card :)

I will change current CPU cooler for Noctua NH-U12P-SE2 CPU Cooler NH-U12P for 54 pounds.

About that raid0 I might go for it ....

Are you saying that 2 hdd 7200 RPM SATA6 in RAID0 have better/faster performance then SDD ?

Agreed. If you're going to buy mid-high end hardware, you should get a case that matches.

I have a HAF-932 and honestly other than the great air flow it's not that great of a case IMO. Although I am very partial to higher end cases, and I recently bought an 800D. It's one of the best cases I've ever built in, even if it is used by practically everyone. There's a reason why everyone uses it, although the 800D is overkill for your build. Why not look at the 650D?

Hey, did you check out the RAM mate? Also why 8GB as its just for gaming why not just get 4GB? Its the same kit but just 4GB and only cost £49.99 at OCUK.

Also have you thought about the SSD Caching? Could save a bit of cash, and would leave you money left over to purchase that second GTX580 later on.

i made that list in a rush earlier, just went on scan and did a shop with a 1700 budget......

But you could easily get a i5 sandy B + GTX590 on that budget

You're not going to see any performance improvements off SSDs for games ... it'll just load faster is all. Not worth the money. Just the fact that your OS is on an SSD already makes games load faster even if the games are installed on an SSD.

Just get a 120 gb ssd.

and a normal hard drive for games.
if you use steam put it on normal hard drive and use steam mover to move most played games onto ssd if they benefit from it.

If not, can you please show me benches where SSDs do improve frame rates?

Scroll down to Crysis FPS... Obviously it makes quite a difference. My SSDs have helped with quite a few games but not all of them see much of a difference. Metro 2033 likes SSDs.

Looks like it only helps thee min FPS but not the average FPS.

It helps with both, but min FPS is the most important to me

Just to throw my two cents in, I've used ocuk for over 2 years and I've never had an issue with them. I've ordered so many parts from them be it for me or for builds for other people and not once have I come across dead hardware.

Has this happened to you personally whilst using them?

Yes it has happened to me,also when Gibbo was fired from Ocuk and went over to Novatech,he told me also that they ship out dead hardware just hoping for it to disappear, regardless of what Gibbo said i have had my own experience with them and so has my real life friends and many people on this forum.

There are more problems regarding ocuk on the web than any other website if you google it.

I dont want to start an Ocuk rant in this thread but personally i wouldnt use them from my own experience.

Oh rite, didn't even know Gibbo wasn't there anymore, tbh i don't frequent there forums very often. I've just RMA'd the Asus RIIE through them, im actually wondering now if the board is ok lol i've had it back off them saying its fine but haven't actually tried it out myself yet. I'll have to pop it in over the weekend perhaps see if they where lying or not.

Now you made me thinking about GTX 590 ... :)

What if I would take off GTX580 -400
    SDD 90Gb -90
    RAM 2x4Gb - 115
and get GTX 590 - 560 <- or stay with GTX580 and later get another?
RAM 2x2Gb - 60 <- will that be enough for gaming?

    TOTAL = 1690 pounds
