AMD Catalyst 11.4 (Official Release) - Download & Discussion

After installing 11.4 from 10.10e I'm getting very low frame rate in ut3. I'm getting around 15-30 frames whereas on 10.10e I can get around 50-60.

Please help.

 

hahaha, damn i will keep dying in league of legends , time to get lvl 50 in BC2

install again, maybe this can help

 

Tiberium wars and Kane's Wrath displays a totally washout white screen when playing a game on any shader settings above the lowest.

It was fine with the 11.3 drivers.

 

Thanks for your input but unfortunately it didn't help. Frame rate stayed the same. :bang:

 

You have a 5700 series, thats why. The 11 series drivers sucks IMO, i have a 5750 and i get perfect performance with the 10.5 drivers. If you are having great frame rates with the old drivers, use them, its that simple. You don't need to use the latest drivers if you don't have latest cards. I have no problems playing any new games with the old 10 series drivers.

 

I was also getting really bad fps on Crysis 2 with these and the 11.4 cap1 and previous caps with the same driver so it is definitely the driver at fault.

I was using the 11.4 March 23 preview and was getting really good fps and no feel of lag. Now I get about 20-30 fps less in game regardless of cap.

I have since tried the 11.4 preview again and get great fps again.

I am going to avoid these like the plague.

Since reinstalling 'amd_catalyst_11.4_preview_win7_march23.exe' i have no problems again.. so much for my BSOD in BFBC2 being a hardware problem (cuz somebody said BSOD's are usually hardware related). I just played a flawless 2 and a half hours.. no crash,no BSOD.

march 23rd drivers are the best to date for me and deffo keepers.

 

hmm i have that problem too with that driver in BC2 the 11.4 preview is better, but i dont play it to much, in other side the games that i play is good anyway xD

 

Seems to fix the 99% gpu usage at desktop so far. This is my 2nd day with this new driver. Notice better performance in Just Cause 2 like mention in the release notes. I can confirm this; now the GPU usage when in JC2 is showing 99% in MSI afterburner on both cards. I think before it was about in the 90% usage area. Great drivers, I hope the 99% GPU usage bug won't come back, might be too soon to tell.

im with the 5 april version and 11.4 cap 1, may i try the whlq or are exactly the same drivers with no improvement or minor tweaks from the 5 april version?

 

drivers working just fine right here, same as the previous ones.

haven't noticed any major changes, or improvements in fps.
its a keeper for me

 

It's the same drivers.
The difference is that this one is WHQL-signed.

 

me got the same issue but to avoid this go to settings and set VFX Detail on low and you'r good to go.:3eyes:

 

Well, it shouldn't be doing that in the first place.
What's the point of having a 5850 if you can't set a game setting above the lowest?

Anyway, 11.4 WHQL gives me a hard system lock-up whenever I play DA2 on DX11 full details with hi-res texture pack, forcing me to hard reboot the system a.k.a. 'reset button'.
Reverting to 11.4 EP March 7th (the first 11.4 EP).

 

I just removed the 11.4 ones and reinstalled the 11.3 to resolve the issue.

Hoping for a fix soon~

 

I must admit these were extremely nice, even before I re-formatted. Work well with the 6-series. "like butter..."

 

When I removed all caps my 3 6950's really took off with these drivers, caps seem to **** em up.
