Pretty damn impressive scaling! Its interesting that at such high res more than 2GB VRam is needed. Also that 4.8GHz to 5.2GHz CPU (8% increase) only nets 1 to 2% fps increase. But a 17% drop in CPU gave 11 to 12% fps drop. I'm very surprised he didnt check CPU occupancy while playing games to confirm when it is bottlenecking and how often. But he has confirmed that close to 5GHz is useful for Quad GTX580. lol at the forum dick.
yeah man it is very impressive check this video out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpC_4JH05Yk and who is the forum d*ck?i hope not me
Hehe not you, it is the LEVESQUE guy. It looks like his original post has been deleted but its been quoted in post #3 and a few times after.
Quad SLI does scale well and has for a long time. Long as you have a top end CPU at high clocks you will be fine.
someone else hit 35 fps in crysis warhead at 8024 by 1600 with 8xaa with the same gpu setup except a sr-2 rig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpC_4JH05Yk
