So it doesnot support 5xxx series, Well Any Changelog.....

 

11.4 are good for 5870 ? im still using 10.12 its time to update?

anyone having problems with this drivers in BC2 ? i'm having CTD :\

 

bc2 CTDs after ~1-3h with CF on (possibly sli too, the flickering & black screen also is on sli)

driver version doesnt matter

 

i just sent my gtx590 back for a 6990 replacement. nightmare gpu with surround vision. crackling sound in games and high temps. put it to single screen mode and it was fine.

for a 600 pounds cards, not happy and very disspointed.

and yes, i tried a fresh install and still had issues with multiple drivers.

rushed gpu in my opinion.

looking firwRd to 6990 today, never had so much hassle witha nvidia card as i did with gtx590.

crap.

I was told the same thing, except I set up a decent airflow in my case, thus reducing the percentage the fans are running, to around 30% idle, in which case, you cannot even hear it over the rest of the case fans. Also, headphone users have nothing to worry about. When you're gaming, unless you have no sound, you won't hear the fans either.

Seems like your not too happy nVidia lost a customer. I would have been happy for him and his excitement for a new card.

But I guess you'd rather have a non-working card that has many issues than a working ATI card. Because ATI could never do right, correct?

NVIDIA'S 58 million a year or so on marketing REALLY works!!! Go look what AMD spends on marketing... The fact that they spend their money on R&D and almost nill on marketing says it all, especially with their market share.

 

Some talk about using 10.5 preview but I see no thread about it on the forums

 

i think it matters cause when i had my 5970, with 10.5a i had no CTD but with others i had...looks i need to wait for 11.5 :\

 

10.5 is not a preview, but rather an incredibly old driver (which still works better than the newer drivers, but that's a different story).

 

Are the 11.4 preview drivers any good for 58xx cards ?
any performance improvements over 11.2 ?

 

Some say yes, others say no. Just try it yourself. If you like em, keep em, if not install the 11.2 again. It only takes 20 minutes I think. Uninstall, install, run a few benchmarks.

 

The 10.5 thread will have long gone, as those drivers are coming up to a year old.

but was that before all those game patches?

i'd make sure any reports of no crashes for old drivers confirm that they use the current game after vietnam's release

now i've seen the game run fine for like 3hrs on 1 map on a server that was made to take many hours to change the map... there was no issue there, while the usual ones that change maps eventually CTD

so i'm wondering if it can be triggered faster like a memory leak by loading a new map on a full server every minute

 

they use thier own engine! which is incredibly awesome and FOR PC ONLY!

its out and u can buy it, even you can get it on steam by using your CD-key.
