Thread re-opened again. The next person who brings this thread off topic with posts about anti-Semitism, furries or other crap that don't belong in this here, is simply going to get banned. No infractions.

 

Anybody with a customer/user fail? The same type of customer/user that is so stupid that should not even be around anything technology related?

The lady that cleans our offices, purchased a new laptop to replace her old one. Her old laptop was an Acer, she purchased a Toshiba Satellite Pro. Then she says to me, "I can use my old power adapter with my new laptop?" I said, why would you do that, use the one that came with your laptop. She responded with,"oh it comes with a new power adapter, I never checked the box for one after taking out the laptop" /facepalm.

The adapter was right next to the laptop on the right hand side in the box.

 

Zinjin, many people are like that.

I know people who take their Laptops in for Spyware / Adware cleaning...for like 35$...I facepalm so hard, and explain to them it's very easy to do it yourself, in like 5 minutes.

 

No no no, you tell them you can do it for $15 :3

 

If you change that to "user/tech support" fails, I'm afraid we'll have to open a whole new thread for them

 

Not comfortable with ripping people off. I could do computer repairs for half the price my local store does it for, but I don't, I'd rather do it free, because I enjoy it, and I'd feel bad taking money for doing something I enjoy.

 

Don't be silly, you have complained about not having money before, yet you pass at the chance of earning any?

Iv enjoyed a lot of the jobs iv been in, but my time and skills are still valuable and been able to put food on the table for me and my gf are pretty important.


Also your not ripping anyone off your charging less and no doubt doing a better job than the local store.
