I loved Oblivion for all its flaws, such as the appalling animation, lack of different voice actors and laughable NPC faces, and lost myself in the game world for months (I clocked up over 150 hours on it for the 360 version alone). I really can't wait for Skyrim and couldn't give a hoot whether it runs in DX11 or DX9 personally as long as it runs well, supports AA and looks good (which it does from the screenshots and videos released so far).

I wasn't keen on the pics either.

Pretty, yes, technically good, not really, but some good post processing could make it look better which im sure will happen.

Game looks pretty good anyway, and still has 7months left of development, so alot can/will happen.

The trees in cold regions are ugly IRL. Took a trip to Alaska awhile back, you're lucky if they even stand straight up, they go every which way due to the perma frost. It's kind of weird to look at a stand of trees with them pointed ein opposite directions like some strange alien crystals from crysis. It is possible that they have different trees somewhere, though I'm skeptical.

I wish they'd include tessellation options for the PC. It doesn't look like they're going to waste any resources in low end rigs, but won't fully utilize high end rigs. For the poly count that screen does look amazing.

I think they made forest look awesome. Feels like a real forest, not just tree planted there and there.

Graphic wise, I won't be disapointed. I'm more concerned about fighting system, lvling system, AI, quests, etc. Hated the Oblivion Gate...

If they engine is the same as Fallout 3 so probably I could play it on my old rig.
Hope they would optimize this new Gamebryo buildt.

And we'd also have crappy animations, bad performance, and tons of bugs.

It's the same. They just improved it so much, they decided to give it a new name.

    That goes against earlier confirmation.
    Do you have proof?

Uh, Seketh. They said they are using a 100% new Engine. They created it for this, and that Gamebryo is done with, kaput.

I'll probably get it, but I doubt its setting will be better than TES4's Robin-Hood-esque locales. And like some posters earlier hinted at, part of what made TES4 cool was that since it's set in the middle empire, you can go north for cold weather (arctic), south for hot weather (swamps), west for beaches, &c.

However, it'll get bonus points if I can walk into a pub and get in a barfight.
