defending ? i think not! looking for answers yes!

all the info you have you have brought foward was false and proven by w/e that site was.
even that guy with the blowed up one used the "wrong drivers" (which is wrong to have nv let that happen) you come off as charlie talking out your you know what sometimes.

whoa if you want to say the card performs better thats one thing.
you say that the card is weak its this its that now its slower ok who cares ?thats not the issue here.

I wonder if he works for AMD China, and because of his poor performance here, is sent to re-education.

whatever and you're like Fudd lol

yes its slow, yes it has weak pwm - that's clearly seen on naked 590gtx pcb.

But hey don't worry about it, don't worry if it blows up, instead i suggest you to go buy 3! or even better 4 just in case.

But then again its not my money, so yea your loss really.

Yes i work for AMD, happy?

The modular cables for my PSU are short and stiff :/ not much for cable management..CM 690 II ADV is cramped too.hahah..

Did you know that the PSU can go upside down?
There is a grated vent hole at the bottom of the case to allow cold air straight into the PSU.
The case comes with an extra air filter to fit over the case hole if you want air filtered.
(I just finished building another 690-II today :), lovely case)

Uhmm... Maybe it's already dead, but it doesn't know it yet.

Like in that M. Night Shyamalan's movie with Bruce Willis?

dead? why, when did i say its gonna die as soon as you put it in? never so dont put words in my mouth :p

But yea it might when you start OC and stressing it to the max, then it can be a ticking time bomb. Even nvidia stated not to OC or overvolt +23mv max. Lol why again? yep weak cheap pwm.

Anyway what im trying to say here is to save your money for something that's really worth +600$, idk dual 570gtx for that matter as it will be a much Much better choice, that's it nothing else.

Im not gonna "derail" this thread further sorry nvidia fanboys!

    bye.

hunter tell us why in your own words why that its a weak design ?

you must to be an engineer since its so weak for what the clocks that it comes with and could not handle a 70-90 overclock?

oh and i lost count how many times you said nv fanboy

what happened you dont seem to be so confident anymore :)

this is not about price and performance it never was why bring it up now?

you still feel bad that amd cards run hot in the vrm deptment? i leat that quote out you know 106c will not be safe
sry i like to lead the shot sometimes he he. you know let people talk crap before you pull the trigger :)

so everyone now knows that you dont recomend this card that its better to buy the other brands pos instead of this one ok
i say dont buy either like 5 or 6 times :)

Yeah, I originally had the PSU with the fan facing downward.

Doing so places the 24-pin and 8-pin CPU cable to the right side of the case which is usually best if running cables behind the motherboard tray for cable management.

Although being that the 8-pin CPU cable was 1 to 2 inches too short and the 24-pin was too stiff I just flipped the PSU upside down running the cables in front of the motherboard. Cable extensions would have fixed the issue.

    lol..

    :flip2:

yep cheap, i mean common the thing can actually explode... how flawed is that.

and yea most of the time i wasnt talking to you there., yes i said its cheap 100000x times, but fan only 2times xD, maybe the word cheap some how translated to you of me saying fanboy lol:D., and im still standing by those bursts of rage:wanker: lol:grad:

now lest all chill out and forget about these "x2 gpus" they're both hot, flawed and overpriced anyway.. well unless you got money to burn.

edit: you know what? we would need a 3rd gfx vendor just like in the old days more competition, more variation instead of this bs fps king nitpicking with half-backed rushed designs. I just hope it will be allot better with 28nm, really this current situation is one big mess.

Sorry but I disagree. They're about the same price, about same performance,
but with Nvidia you get all the Green team goodies, it's cooler,
and the most silent dual GPU built for at least last 10 years.

With 6990 OTOH, u get 5-6 monitors... and The Loudest Card EVER Built.

Now those are the facts my fellow traveler.

Now that's a big optimistic thing to say lol.. Sorry but if that thing lasts 10years then i'm Jesus:nerd: Well It could if it had better pwm/vrm/mosfets :infinity:.

anyway here is the answer to all our gpu problems 28nm, and hopefully both n00b companies take better use of this process.

    peace, over and out.

I'm satisfied with the results I'm getting on BC2, after playing for 2 hours straight it didn't struggle at all.

There is a slight bottleneck with my CPU at stock as there wasn't a difference in FPS while switching AA from 4X to 32X at 1920x1080.

The card isn't much louder then a stock GTX 580 either, the fan does sound different though (as a result of having a different fan).

Prior to having this card I briefly owned two GTX 580's, the cards spat out so much heat my room turned into an instant sauna while gaming. After returning one I stuck with a single GTX 580 for a while before selling the PC (As I had other plans, but they didn't workout).

Now with this card it's nearly the same performance of two GTX 580s with almost the same heat output of one.

I'll check Crysis 2 out now and maybe OC my CPU a bit..
