AMD Catalyst 11.3 Download & Discussion

They are newer but i just tried it still flickers with 1.1 patch :bang:
Maybe another cap will come out later or tomorrow

 

Performance-wise, 11.4 Preview.
But personally, it's known not to play nice with some applications that use hardware acceleration.
Safest bet would probably be 11.3.

But as with any other Catalyst releases, YMMV.
Just keep whichever version that doesn't break your system.

 

Sorry, could you be more specific? I use some hardware acceleration in Chromium and Flash

 

I had problems when running Firefox 4 for the first time after a cold boot or a reboot.

The reason I said 'YMMV' is because not every people would have that problem, but I also can't say there's no problem at all, because I did have problems with March 23rd 11.4 Preview.

Which is why my best advice would be for you to just test 11.4 Preview first.
If that one doesn't make any problems with your system then keep it.
Otherwise, try 11.3.

Which driver should we use/which driver is better, 11.4 29/03 or 11.3?

 

I just tried the 11.3 cap with 11.4 preview and Crysis 2. Still flickers with CF.

Oh well. Will wait till tomorrow and see what happens then.

 

so is this driver the 3/23 update, or since the page says 3/29/11 are these now the newest version of 11.4 preview.. im so confused

 

The march 23 driver (from here) is the same as of now on the 11.4 preview page.

11.3 is older so you should stick with 11.4 preview

 

ONLY use the 11.4 if you want THE LATEST DRIVER. The 11.3 is the latest OFFICIAL driver.

 

ya, im sticking with the 11.4 for sure, but im using the original 11.4 driver from about 1 month ago, was wondering if downloading this current one offers anything for me? is this 11.4 the newest of the 11.4's??? in other words, is the 11.4 I just downloaded now, the new one the poster stated was being updated "tomorrow"

 

March 23 driver was giving me BSOD's, sticking with 11.3 for now as it seems to work fine.

11.4 is much better just played bc2 and crysis2 better framerate with 11.4

I'm guessing the 99% Bug ain't fixed here either seeing 11.4 March 23 had it aswell.

I am scared to try theses, because 11.2, 11.1, 11.4 preview gives me a seriously 50% decrease in performance, but i will try them later, but i am sure i will be going back to using the 9.12. Feedback laterz.
