wow thats quite expensive. the 6990 is 532,54 here > http://www.allmicro.nl/p/club3d/def...ten export?referrer/tweakers producten export none in stock though lol
Think the NDA lasts till 1pm GMT? Found an early review someone snagged and re-posted, low quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZxPqroC37c&
If that performance is true no wonder they had to drop the price on this card just hope it can overclock well with better cooling but as is its a disappointment if those figures are on the money.
If the price is rumoured to be the same as the 6990 then there neck and neck, but if the nvidia overclocks pretty well which it probably will, then it may just pip the 6990. Its all about the price now. Remember the 50% voltage tweak that was advertised on the Asus box...
Yeah running hot but the threshold is over 200 degrees before shutdown, double the previous 105 degrees threshold on some of the previous cards. Ill be banging these under water probably anyhow if i decide to buy...jurys out atm.
Not bad, looks like what most thought any way its going to win some lose some to the 6990, and at the same price it should do well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq9ZPSv4j7c that's quiet...do you see amd, learn something...LOL VS 6990 noise, sweet mother of jesus...WTF amd.? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFfnX2g8FBw
the whole 500 series has a lower max temperature compared to the 400 series. 400 series were rated for 105C. 560/570/580 were rated for 97C. its fine since 500 series cards generally run cooler.
