Or they forgot to rename/delete that 'old' file when they decided to release it as RC2, which is more likely.
Just a helpful hint for anyone missing the status bar: Download the Firefox addon "Status-4-Evar" and mess with its options a bit, and make sure to enable the Addon Bar in Firefox (View->Toolbars->Addon Bar).
Yep.. the file is legit and the Official release - Mozilla just hasn't updated it's front page and so on to display with it. Confirmed. The program itself is 4.00 final. What leads to confusion is that the "what's new" page still says RC, but that's just the page, not the browser.
After the update to how the status bar works in FF4 I don't see a need to permanently plaster it there when it isn't giving you any information.
Anyone else figure out how to have GPU acceleration without blurring all the text or messing it up on an ATI card?
+1, I set this FF up properly how I'd use it and tried to get on with it but pages load so much slower than in Chrome :/

I love Status 4 ever, downloaded it the other day. It bugged the HELL out of me not to have it there for some reason.
If you referred to the status bar, check Options/Addon bar (strangely it is disabled by default). I had to do that to use HTML Validator as before.
