When using a modified inf file with drivers the modified inf must have the following characteristics:
    a) It is for the same operating system as the driver you downloaded.
    b) It must be for the same number of bits (32 or 64) as the driver you downloaded.
    c) It must be for the same language as the driver you downloaded (English USA and International are different languages).

    1) Download the 267.59 driver from the NVidia downloads section and you'll only find it for the 550 Ti card.
    2) Next try to install it (notice where it is going to extract the drivers to) and let it tell you it can't do it. Then you say OK and if Windows asks if it installed ok you say yes.
    3) Then you take the modded inf file and paste it into the Display.Driver folder where your 267.59 drivers extracted to during the installation attempt. Windows will say a file of that name is already there and asks you if you wanna overwrite it and you say yes.
    4) Now you're ready to find the setup.exe file in the folder where your 267.59 drivers extracted to during the last installation attempt (not the original file you downloaded) and double-click that setup.exe file and installation begins.

Confirmed performance improvements for Dragon Age 2 by TechSpot who initially tested with the v267.46 betas and got 28 fps on a GTX 580 at 1920x1200, DX11, Very High, 4xAA/16xAF. They'd revised the charts for the new v267.59 betas which on the same settings give 39 fps!

    http://www.techspot.com/review/374-dragon-age-2-performance-test/page3.html

Sure, it's not the preferred 60 fps but a near 40% improvement in the framerate is great and puts the GTX 580 on a level pegging with the HD 6970.

This refuses to install on my 560 GTX TI, I looked in the modded ini and I saw no 560 Ti string, also I tried adding the string from the official 560 drivers and still... nothing. (NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti")

    Fix please?

Take the string from the 267.26 or 266.66 inf

It may need to be included in more than 1 place.

I can't d/l the drivers here in work, so I'll fix it for you later if you cannot get one.

What version do you need? Win 7 x64 english or international?

did you download uk international driver, or are you trying to use this inf with US driver?

edit: no wonder it doesn't work you have US, i saw it by NvCplSetupENG on that screen...

download uk version.. or use gpu strings and names from that international inf. and copy your gpu info, but imo the best thing would be to dl uk int and be a happy camper lol:nerd:

Are you sure you're using the correct inf?

That error usually happens if you're using an International inf on English drivers or vice versa (the required files its referring to are the localisation files).

Actually, I'd say you're using the English driver, but using an International .inf

(hence the inf is looking for files that don't exist in the English driver package).

Yeah, I'm one of those guys who registered JUST because he couldn't get something to work right.. forgive me. :bang:

Is this supposed to be compatible with the notebook series Geforce cards?

I have a Toshiba Qosmio X505 with a 460m card. Replaced the modified .inf file, made sure they were for the correct OS and language. During installation I'm still getting "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." message. Is this a dumb question to be asking? Everything I've read seem to point that this works for all geforce cards..
