Microsoft IE Business and Marketing senior director Ryan Gavin revealed on the Windows Team Blog that Internet Explorer 9 will be released on Monday March 14th. The new release offers a faster JavaScript... More...
Actually IE9 is very good, been using it since RC as my primary browser on my netbook and FF 4 beta on my work PC and i have to say the only thing leaning towards FF now is the addons available. IE9 64 bit version has some flash issues still (also due no doubt to adobes 64 bit beta) but the 32 bit has had no problems with anything.
Yeah, but alot of my favorite websites won't load in IE9, the beta at least...so, I uninstalled it. Not that I use IE much, but there are some cases where you need to.
As a web developer I use IE daily for testing but that is it. Even if IE9 is great I don't see it replacing Chrome as my browser of choice. Firefox used to be great but it's now a very bloated piece of software. I use it for certain plugins and testing these days but why a windows user wouldn't pick Chrome as their default browser is beyond me.
Cause it's boring. Firefox provides lots of nice addons, that makes internet browsing very enjoyable and safe. Also being adjustable, everybody can has it own unique web browser.
Yeah i don't know why but i cant stand chrome. Its lovely and fast and i do test in it but I always seem to end up back in IE or FF.
Cant stand FF4 so when they finally officially replace FF3 I will switch to Chrome. IE is dead for all I care.
It is indeed, just got to hope uptake is decent enough. Anyway in the real world i'll stick with Opera.
Your loss, IE9 a damn good browser! If it had extensions like FF does then it would poop all over FF!
WELL, Welcome to 2011, where Firefox beta working faster for me, than laggy chrome with it pathetic look! Don't feel bad chrome lover.
Well there's pro and con to all of them...IE9 takes up too much screen real estate, lack of being able to customize...how hard it is to allow putting a GD FAVORITES BUTTON on the menu bar without needing an entire separate bar across the screen? FF4... yeah uh GPU acceleration is nice but do I REALLY need to use an extra 300 watts just to make fonts fuzzy? FF3...well it works most of the time but it IS getting slower and sloweeerrr...Chrome...I can't stay awake and I refuse to become further enmeshed in the Google Collective. I've not tried Opera in years so I've no comment there.
