They're mostly early because of missing WHQL certification.

Had GSOD on the first scene in Dragon Age 2 (with HD pack). Later had hardlock in 1 hour playing DA2. In the other games or applications - no issues. Before I have never had GSOD or BSOD with ATI drivers. But all is good, it's not even a beta, just early preview. Using the latest ATT, CCC is closed down.

performance improved in benchmarks like 3dmark vantage and 11, also in heaven, but SSAA is not fixed in TDU2.

    Oh crap.

Just installed this driver and not a single 3D app works with it.

One alternate frame is shown properly but the other goes up and down, scrolling at high speed.

Got the latest profiles from march 3rd.

By the way, I got a BSOD uninstalling the CAP before installing 11.4. :bang:

Next cards are Nvidia for sure.

Because clearly Nvidia is heaven and staffed by angels and its drivers are completely free of everything. :bang:

I'll give these a try then.

DarkKnightDude: I would agree that the grass isn't always greener on the other side but I can concur, a ton of the issues that I have with my HD 5970 don't exist on any of my Nvidia cards. I can't launch some games at times or even launch F1 2010 in DX11. Or even get my audio to stop dropping to my receiver from my 5970. A lot of these issues just don't show up in nvidia cards.

No because. Because BSOD during install and screen scrolling are unaceptable. Spent roughly 2hr trying to:

-search forum 11.4, decide to install
    -uninstall 11.2
    -bsod
    -unistall 11.2 again
    -install 11.4
    -major bugs
    -test
    -major bugs
    -uninstall
-safe mode, driversweeper, manual delete, reboot
    -reinstall 11.4, reboot, test
    -forum

11.4 works now. No screen scrolling. WTH

I hate AMD drivers. Good cards, but can't do much without drivers now, can't you?

I suppose Nvidia just can't be as bad. Come on, the bar's too high.

I'm just simply stating that driver teams are human. I've had my share of problems with both sides. (Been a Geforce 6600, ATI 2600, HD4650 owner)

These drivers work great for me. Scored a high vantage score and there's no 100% gpu issue so far and i managed to run and play DA2 for like 15 mins. I also have changning wall paper. I have not used these drivers long enought to conclusively say that they're better than 11.2 but from the looks of things it's going to be good.

This is the first driver which didn't like my videomemory overclock. GSOD hapened not only in DA2, so had to lower my memory clock to stock values.

I agree they are and I don't want to derail this thread and I own both but there is something to be said that AMD GPU users have a slew of basic issues where as NVidia doesn't on a majority of things. I have found that the overall experience with my team green cards has been much more pleasant than my team red experience. And with that said I have to go and reinstall windows tonight and prey that the freaking audio issues disappears along with this current install! lol!
