So it wont be included in the retail ... Well at least, its out before the game's release, so it doesn't affect the game. Thanks for the link. Isn't Europe release on Friday, March 11. ?
Needs a GPU with at least 1024mb Vram, nice, should be taxing for my card, and any other person with a 1gb card. I imagine this will be a game that when maxed at 19x10/12 will favour the new AMD 6900 cards.
Ah good. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/300/index/6393623 So with some little tinkering it would work. EDIT: Worked. (Might as well leave the e-mail there, EA store sure is convenient for not using encryption and sending the serial early.) EDIT: Some settings. EDIT: Import. EDIT: Gameplay (Demo more or less identical to this.) http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/4204/dragonage22011030720234.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/6716/dragonage22011030720235.jpg http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/6716/dragonage22011030720235.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3077/dragonage22011030720241.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/4494/dragonage22011030720243.jpg http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/4494/dragonage22011030720243.jpg http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9030/dragonage22011030720244.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6431/dragonage22011030720245.jpg http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/9601/dragonage22011030720251.jpg http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/60/dragonage22011030720252.jpg http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/4297/dragonage22011030720253.jpg http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/5011/dragonage22011030720261.jpg http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/9566/dragonage22011030720262.jpg http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2831/dragonage22011030720263.jpg http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/6219/dragonage22011030720264.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/6673/dragonage22011030720265.jpg http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/5346/dragonage22011030720270.jpg http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4884/dragonage22011030720271.jpg
PC Gamer magazine 9.4 Official PS3 Magazine 9/10 Official Xbox Magazine 9/10 They all seem decent. Not that any review matters, until you see the game for yourself.
Do you have the game already ??? Gameplay (Demo more or less identical to this.) ?? What do you mean by this ?
Isn't that what I said Sleeper or was it unclear? sorry I'm not feeling very well but I'll try to explain. EA allowed pre-loading the game today, saw it included serial and then I saw the files were all complete and un-encrypted, downloaded the high-res pack and after checking the forums I saw the game was released in Asia so I used a proxy or VPN or what it's called to circumvent that annoying release date check. (Why even use it on a digital distribution where it serves no purpose.) This activated the real exe and allowed registration (Already done from DA1) and playing the game. (Had my details online, only had to provide EA account mail and password and it activated.) EDIT: That last part should have included screens, this is fixed now but what I meant is that the start and what follows is identical to what was seen from the demo (Up until the very end where the demo abruptly cut to a Kirkwall segment.) EDIT: For importing I did not have my own character ready yet so I used this eventually. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2127 Image shows this one though. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2123
@ JonasBeckman Post some Screenshots of later in the game if u can. Something from Kirkwall. Would like to see how it compares to PS3.
Probably tomorrow but I'll try to reach it and take some screens, playing on hard though which is quite different from how the demo panned out and the faster pacing makes combat more of a challenge, Nightware I'm also tempted to try but I'll wait with it until I'm more familiar with the game. EDIT: With ini editing to enable certain functionality such as depth of field and v.high quality (Not that it actually does anything since my GPU lacks DX11 capabilities and thus runs via 10.1) the game runs at between 28 FPS as the lowest upwards to 50 FPS as the highest, 70 - 100 in certain cutscenes though that doesn't apply to normal game scenarios. (Everything enabled such as hi-res textures though vsync is off and the like not that there's much to adjust minus the locked options I forced via altering the ini file directly, 2x aa as well at 1680x1050.)
Tested the full game. And I must say this is a very heavy game. Average framerate is in the 20's and all details are up with 1080p resolution.
With a 2600K and a 580 Is this with the high res textures enabled, have you checked vram usage during the game, could well be maxing the 1.5gb. But yeah, the Nvidia drivers were supposed to be broken, and i heard there is supposed to be new drivers tomorrow for this game, you tried the beta ones?
267.24 drivers used. High textures or normal don't make any difference in performance. The performance is just as crappy as the demo.
That's a worry, lets hope it is a driver issue, as performance in DX11 in the demo was the worst i've ever saw in a game on this card (less than 10fps), even Metro2033 maxed performed better.
Just wait for the 'ultimate edition' with twice the gametime for $10 less in 12 months when the game actually runs.
... and some cool mods. I'm going to try to hold out until the first patch. edit: Ultimate edition? Bah. BioWare's DLC hasn't been all that impressive.
