it tries to simulate global illumination (lighting reflected from objects and thus becoming colored lighting depending on object color)

Mirrors Edge used pre calculated GI but I don't know any game that uses real time GI, though Cryengine 3 and Frostbite 2 support it. Maybe we will see it in Crysis 2 and/or BF3

 

Nice Doom 3 shots Hunter.......Nice Fallout 3 too.

Really a fun game if you have not played it....can be had for pretty cheap too.

For no aprent reason...my frames drop drastically and I must exit to desktop and then come back to game and all is fine...I have yet to figure it out

Crysis 2 Demo - Advanced Settings

 

I was talking about Mirrors Edge earlier today, and so I made my own TOD tweak in the editor to make the colors look like that game. Not exact, but eh, I never played the game so I'm only copying the colors from pictures. I coudn't figure out how to change the textures of the buildings correctly, they were always odd colors or transparent. Would have been nice if I could get all the buildings white like the game.

This is the first chunk of test pics. No Photoshop was done to these pics besides resizing. These were originally taken at 2880x1600 across two monitors. I wish I could have higher AA ;/ It's kinda noticable.
