    Better than the 265.90's, more smoother and less stuttering and faster. On my end anyways. I notice an increase in warhead and Crysis, and in L4D2.

    i'm sorry i was posting in the wrong thread.

    i haven't tried this driver, i am still using 266.87, i forgot to check the driver version of this thread, and forgot to check my driver version, sorry :D .

    so my previous post can be called as misplaced.

    once again sorry.

    How is the GPU usage in SLI with these drivers?

    I was running Crysis max settings 16af benchmarks and found 266.58 had random bad drops in GPU usage during benching, but 266.77 had GPU usage at almost 99% the whole time like it should be.

    I dont have any issues with CP crashing? First time I hear about it?

    Just upgraded from my GTX460 SLI to a GTX 570, wow what a great card. Im gonna save money so I can get one more, I cant imagine what kind of great P you´ll get, when performance is so good already with one? This is the first highend Fermi line that is very good. GTX460´s are great, but still GTX570 is a real highend card. Thank you nvidia, you made it right for once. ;)

    Im using these drivers again, and they are much better than 266.xx drivers, for me atleast? ;)

    Hi everybody...

    First time poster, so please don't shoot me for my stupid questions. :)

    Does anybody know whether these drivers work with GF110-chips like my GTX 570?

    And if so, would somebody be so very kind as to give me a quick rundown as how to install them if I were to mod the official ones myself? Big thanks in advance! :flip2:

    Edit: Sorry, I should have asked whether the modded inf for Windows 7 64 posted earlier on page 1 of this thread supports GTX 570?

    GPU-Z report the 570 as Device ID 10DE -1081 and in the mod inf there is a line noting:

    %NVIDIA_DEV.1081.01% = Section004, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1081

    ... so does that mean that I'm golden?

    The link you provided give us the drivers to download but does it include the inf inside or with have to download the inf from somewhere else and attach to the drivers?

    Keepers for sure.
    Got a nice boost in unigine heaven and i got back my fps in Dirt 2 while retaining 266.77's F1 2010 score.
    Also 3dMark11 did better with a few poins more, almost got P5800 in one shot (P5728).

    Thanks for the help!

    Gonna try them out soonish, since I spend more time in Adobe CS5 apps and Autodesk Maya than games. :grad:

    Hello there,

    I'm a first time poster like the previous guy :)

    I recently upgraded from a Gainward GTS250 512MB to a Gainward GTX560Ti Golden Sample (@900Mhz). While the card itself is quite astonishing in hardware and cooler design compared to the old one which I've already sold, the drivers aren't quite there yet (even though it's based on the GTX460 which has been around for some time). More specifically, I'm getting a few very constant stutters , vsync on or off, pre-rendered frames 0 to 3, in games such as WRC2010, SBK X, NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 - off the top of my head (which I've read are nvidia release 265-induced). Other games seem to work fine...

    Long story short, reason for hijacking this thread: I've tried to MOD my own drivers (nvidia 260.99, 258.93 etc) by adding the lines referring to %NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01% PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1200 in the corresponding nv_disp.ini sections (3 instances) and after install and restart Windows kept saying "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" in Device Manager. Tried both setup.exe and manual Device Manager installation.

    Next, I entered the site you mentioned, and input my corresponding hardware ids (DEV_1200&sub), and upon clicking "filter", the site was showing 10 pages of available drivers, starting from the very one that is discussed here, to some old ones that I don't think can work on Fermi.

    I downloaded 260.99+modded inf from laptopvideo2go, then modded the modded inf with GTX560 info (NVIDIA_DEV.1200). Same result: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" in device manager.

    Anyone know how to mod previous release drivers, like 260.99, 258 series, or even 197.45 (golden for my GTS250) for the GTX560 Ti? :)

    no no, dont add the lines in those laptop2go infs, he is using different section strings, and your gpu should be already there..

    http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/28075-v26705-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia-quadro/

    yep its already here with 267.05

    NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti"

    btw; when you download that modded inf, first open it and uncheck security warning (always ask before opening this file) so there are no security conflicts later, well if any..

    As for stutter well, if you force AA in NFSHP you might get it, try lower level 2 or 4x to see if its still doing it..

    as for driver well i found 263.15 atm to be the smoothest but yea they dont contain new AA workarounds..
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=338394

    btw this is what you need when you modd inf with your gpu, im gonna show you x64 example

    first open inf and find this line:

    [nv_CplInstaller_addreg]

    [Manufacturer]
    %NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_SetA_Devices,NTamd64.6.0,NTamd64.6.1
    %NVIDIA_B% = NVIDIA_SetB_Devices,NTamd64.6.0

    [NVIDIA_SetB_Devices.NTamd64.6.0]

    this one is usually empty or sometimes for laptop gpus

    [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.0] - this one is for windows vista

    %NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01% = Section004, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1200 <<< your gpu string

    [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] - windows 7
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01% = Section005, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1200 <<< your gpu string

    .
    .
    .

    now scroll down almost at the end of the file and you will see this

    [Strings]
    DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows Vista / Windows 7 (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
    NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
    NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
    NVIDIA_B = "NVIDIA "

    now add your gpu string name here

    NVIDIA_DEV.1200.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti"

    that's it. :nerd:

    Thanks for the quick reply! :nerd:

    Well, I studied the INF file structure quite closely using Winmerge to highlight the differences between different INF versions, and I also noticed there are different section strings.

    The method you suggested is the one I've been using to try and mod my drivers! I always added those 3 lines and made sure that in each instance, the Section number for my GTX560 ID (DEV_1200) is the same as for other Fermi cards in the respective section (Win 6.0, 6.1).

    I even tried the Quadro driver you linked to, and modded the inf like you said, and I still get the "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".

    So far, I have noticed that I can't mod ANY driver that is previous to the date of launch of the GTX560 (January 28th i think). So yeah, Quadro 267.05 is dated Feb 10th, and it actually installs for my card. However, anything other than this one and 266.66 and 266.77 (also post-GTX560 release) won't install on my system as modded per instructions.

    Was this the case with previous Fermi cards? Not being able to mod drivers released prior to the card..? I'm wondering if this is the problem :)

    It took 6months for Nvidia to fix the drivers for first fermi generation, I doubt it will take as long for generation two cards (500 series), but still I agree the drivers are not as mature for 500series as they begin to be for 400series. So there seems to be (obviously) some differences between the two series and drivers? But as I said, I highly doubt it will take long for nvidia this time, as they are getting more and more familiar with the fermi architecture? ;)

    Ps. The positive side to that is that we can expect some stability and performance gains in the near future, I hope? ;)

    thanx, best drivers so far for my SLI GTX 580. This will be a keeper for a very long time or until crysis 2 is release if this doesn't work to well.
