The one I got from megaupload was only 181MB. Is that file really safe then?

    Mine is;

    CRC32: C74A144A
    MD5: 9DA1D72C5B990AC7F83B3C8B1567B487
    SHA-1: C494F480716F0DCF1737BFDDED07D131E331F42E

EDIT Ah nvm, I just read chinobino's post. It's indeed a same file. Your MB was just a lazy conversion from KB's... :)

It's a good driver 4 synthetic benchmarks but in games not so much. It ceased cryostasis and mass effect 2. Rolled back to 266.58 and problem went away.

I assume evga took it off their sIte due to instability

mass effect 2 is fine on my end. medal of honor and starcraft 2 appear to be running better now with these drivers.

They said that the driver was pulled but not due to a bug.
I guess due to newer cards listed in the inf.
Anyway performance is good, its cooler, but it needs more voltage for being stable.
    Keepers for now.

Since the final build of beta 12 has not been released yet, he's referring to the beta 12 preview (one of the nightly builds).

idk if you wan to know the exact size it was 185.2mb according to firefox (main dl form evga), i didnt get into details.

Could have been because it downloaded without a fixed size and it got a little over.. idk.. but the point was they were fine and everything worked..

But I uninstalled them because they had the same issue as 266.58 in L4d2; small micro pauses time to time - 263.15 arent affected not a single micro stutter..

I've had no troubles with this driver and iI've got a Gigabyte 560 Ti oc. All games are smoother . Crysis,Formula 1 2010,BO,WaW.

Don't know why they got pulled tho. Can't find the reason.

I always had that issue with my GTX260 (216) with pretty much every single driver if I enabled multicore rendering in the options. With GTX 460 the issue seems to have disappeared. 266.77 is no different. I guess the two series of cards handle threading in Source a bit differently.

Well I meant beta 11 actually, since I use the 32-bit browser, but I do indeed have the beta 12 of the 64-bit Firefox but haven't installed it yet. Forgot I had it to tell the truth. So I was right but unintentionally! :D

    No, idea.

I've seen people mention that they contain references to some new graphics cards (550 Ti and GTX 590) that are still under NDA but I've checked the INF and I can see any mention of either.

EVGA have confirmed that the drivers are safe though so there's no reason not to use them. Personally, from the testing I've done so far, they seem to be really great but then NVIDIA drivers are rarely disappointing in my experience.

You could see by the system specs of that EVGA product manager that he has a very high-end gaming rig as his personal machine. He's probably running those 266.77's on his person machine.

If you look deep enough into all the files in those drivers you'll find mention of things that are not released yet and that's probably why the drivers were pulled. The product manager did come out and say they were not pulled because of some bug.

Very nice drivers on my system, no crashes, no 'driver has stopped responding and successfully recovered' errors, a steady 60 FPS in Dead Space 2. Overall, I'm happy.
