never thought id post in a driver thread because a.) there just another set of drivers and b.) its a bit sad to argue over these things.

    BUT..

BFBC2 is much improved for me with these drivers. I have a 6core 1055t @ 3.8ghz and a saphire 5850 @ 845 / 1145 clock and before the drivers I was able to run everything on high but shadow medium and never dip below 60 with x2 aa and no HBAO, now i can run x4 aa and HBAO (usually a 20fps drop!) at the same speed, my shadow is still medium but everything else is cranked and its 60 fps no problems.

    i run @ 2048 x 1152p so a bit higher than 1200p :)

    good drivers so far.

Actually...thanks for commenting!, I decided to proceed to eliminate one by one and the DRAG & DROP is not the culprit if my tests are correct. even with it removed I still got the 100% gpu problem.
the culprit is the goodamn WM9 VC1 package, as soon I removed it, rebooted, problem gone..
only thing is, gpu now spikes up to 40% when using gpu aceleration in Media Player Home Cinema ( I suppose it uses the shaders now instead of the UVD to process the video? no idea..)
and I get more "driver stopped responding" in certain DXVA acelerated videos.

Very strange behaviour (1st time in 1 year): I can't install this WHQL 11.1 after an correct uninstallation of 11.1a.
Tried all, recovery mode + Driver sweeper 2.8.5 + Driver Cleaner.net + TWL cleaner... and many reboot...
Tried redownload, never worked like 1st time I've tried this version.
An hour of uninstallation, reboot, clean, reinstallation... again uninstallation, reboot, clean, reinstallation etc.
    Back to 11.1a.

Yeah, but it's faster install Catalyst 11.1a hotfix :)
Tried, I got a fake "successful", rebooot and got the same problem (damaged drivers or something like it on properties window).
Has anyone encountered differences with 58xx cards, compared with 11.1a (theoretically optimized for 68XX series)?
