11.1a 5870 No Tessellation or MLAA Option I have 2 asus v2 5870's running in crossfire. Removed my old driver, 10.12, ran driver sweeper and ccleaner like normal. Installed the new driver. Booted back up and under 3d options I have no tessellation or MLAA option. Doesn't show anything. Confirmed the driver is 11.1a and this should be active. Windows 7 64. Just to make sure, uninstalled 11.1a and reinstalled 11.1a but still no dice. Any idea why i do not have these options at all and any ideas on how I could get them Thank You Dakon
Oddly I had a similar problem with my 6970 and 11.1a, also Windows 7 64. I had uninstalled the old driver and run Drive Sweeper in safe mode prior to installing 11.1a. I had no tessellation or morphological filtering options in CCC, though CCC and GPU-Z appeared to report my hardware correctly. After trying a few things I reflashed the 6970 to a different BIOS and then reinstalled 11.1a. Tesssellation and morphological filtering options magically came back.
It is disabled by default for 5 series until the NEXT driver 11.2. However, someone is modifying the 11.1 drivers enable all features for 5 series here (originally posted on XS):
i dont think its true i have 5870s i didnt modified anything and with 11.1a i have those options visible in ccc
I wonder if it could because the cards I run are Asus v2, which are non reference cards with a custom asus bios. I wonder if they are not getting detected properly?
Its only the MLAA that he shouldn't be getting (unless he hacks the drivers), as its only that thats coming in the 11.2's for the 5 series.
Even that should work. I installed the 19th Jan 11.1a (A clean install using Driver Sweeper and no mods) on my 5870 and have full MLAA, Surface Format Optimisation and Tessellation options. It's like a lottery, some hardware IDs are working and some aren't it seems.
Just use RadeonPro and enable MLAA there. Works wonders on my 5870. Edit: Just noticed I see MLAA option in CCC2 as well, 11.1a hotfix 26 January.
Ditto and I just ran over the 10.12 preview driver or whatever .12 I had installed. Have all the bells and whistles available didn't mess with anything.
Yeah same here, installed the 11.1a drivers and I have all those options MLAA, Surface Format Optimization and Tessellation options as well. Didn't have to modify any drivers.
Yep, same here, MLAA and Tessellation Controls appeared like magic after I'd installed Cat 11.1a Hotfix driver. It works for DS2 I believe, when I was playing the game, I had MLAA @4x or 8x (need to check again), and I was surprised that it looked pretty sharp and AA seemed to be working......though I did get blurry text/option (blurry to the point it's illegible, but I was able to play by clicking on first option, and last option to quit).
I also have mlaa, surface format optimization with my non reference XFX hd5850(the one with the central fan and no adjustable vrm), I jumped from 1.10e to this, used driver sweeper before 10.10e, but didn't use when jumping to 11.1a official hotfix due to the sp1 bug.
