are you using gpuz to check the load on card or can somebody point me to a better tool to check temps and loads...

FSX no AA with catalyst 11.1

there is no anti aliasing with the latest catalyst 11.1 driver
i return to 10.10e hotfix its better for FSX.

 

Is it okay to install the hotfix: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst111ahotfix.aspx even though you have ATI 5870?

Edit: And is there any harm in having the OpenCL driver?

 

Are the 11.1 improvements/fixes included in the 11.1a hotfix? Such as Left 4 Dead 2 and such?

lol? Game is not even out yet. And the lag in the upper right corner is still there.
Trying the download from AMD itself, there slightly bigger too.

Yes, 11.1a has the same improvements.

 

11.1a hotfix is the better driver. It is the latest driver, and includes the improvements delviered in 11.1.

 

Have you tried the Overdrive GPU meter in CCC?

Is the OpenCL Driver is newer than the CCC 10.12?
I am quite concern about OpenCL Driver. LOL.
I don't expect much from AMD from 3D and 2D Drivers though.

 

What exactly makes the hotfix better than the 11.1 driver ???

 

slick3 - I haven't installed the 11.1s but from what ive read the difference is mainly the tessellation slider is not in the officials - which in my opinion is a pretty big reason. It's a great feature and i'm going to be downloading the hotfix this evening to get my dirty little hands on it

 

Set Vsync on, change your res to something lower and then switch back to your current res. Vsync magically reappears! Bugged console ports FTW!!

 

Yes I got this 100 load problem on the second hotfix jan26

the jan13 hotfix 11.1a dont have this problem.

These whql drivers are older because they have to go through the process of WHQL hotfixes are not subject to this so they are always newer.

So for now I am not going to try th WHQL and I am sticking to the jan13 11.1a hotfix..they work for my hybrid setup (HD5970+GTS 250)on all levels.

videos, games, crossfireX all working perfect
