These are really bad, worst yet..not recommended.

Its clear they're optimized for 560gtx only.

by RE5 i lost 10fps by max fps (now 110fps, before 123fps) and on avg 1.5fps

Dirt2 had that 3d freeze issue again, that got fixed with 266.58 and its the worst yet min fps 42.5, compared to 266.58 min fps 62.9 or other 260+ with around 48fps

justcause2 acted the same odd, im not gonna remove them and go back to 263.09 they have fixed l4d2 not like by 266.58 with some odd micro stutter for a split sec every 30min or so lol...:infinity:

I downloaded the Win7 64-bit 266.66 English drivers from NVidia and used the inf file from the Win7 64-bit English 266.58 WHQL and they installed fine. I ran the Win7 Windows Experience Index thing to let Windows test the driver and it came out fine with my usual 7.6 for desktop and gaming graphics both. I was able to set Enhance AA to 16x in NVidia Control Panel. I don't know if it is my imagination or not but I think my video card's fan sounds noticably quieter with this driver. Not sure.

I tested Black Ops multiplayer. It plays it fine but the game always ran fine for me anyway. I'm not sure if my FPS are slightly less or not, it's too soon to tell.

Edit: I was using 266.58 before this 266.66.
2nd Edit: The IQ on this driver is fine. If in fact the FPS are slightly less maybe it's due to the slower fan speed on the card (?).

If you are installing an international set you need the inf from the last int driver. You have to use the correct inf from corresponding previous set.

I doubt slower fanspeed has any effect on FPS??

Well, I was thinking that the slower fan speed may mean that either the video card isn't working hard enough to warrant more fan speed or that it is working at a higher temperature than it usually does and if so then maybe it would clock down when temps are really high. So it was my theory that my FPS could be lower due to one of those 2 conditions.

Hey uhhh people? This driver is the same thing as the WHQL 266.58, it just adds the GTX 560 Ti support, thats it.

Yeah..yeah actually it is the same driver as 266.58. If its broken in this set that means its an issue with the 560 Ti.

You mod the INF, you get the problems.

If there was anything else to note, it WOULD BE in the release notes.

The only thing done was add 560 Ti support, and a number change to go with it.

Actually it does make a lot of sense. All you seem to do hunter is attack my posts, back off.

Maybe try to use that brain of yours and read for once.

    @cowie

It wouldnt do us anygood anyway. No changes from 266.58 WHQL, other than 560 Ti support.

o yea how come can a wrong INF can affect those games, please:rolleyes: if its wrong it wouldn't work, or only half way like broken dx10..it happened once the problem was different Section004, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV

i had to mod 263.09 too they are only for 570 and 580gtx and it works fine, actually these are the best in L4d2 from all 26x.xx like some one else mentioned in 266.58 thread and he had 580gtx in sli i think.

and what's this bs about attacking your posts? maybe i did once when you started attacking mine, so? big deal get over it :wanker: and you can drop that attitude of yours and mind your on brain.

I know very well how to mod a driver ty.

You just don't seem to get it. The release notes would show any changes, and DOES show the changes.

The only change listed being 560 Ti support. Now, if you can't understand this for some odd reason, just stop now, and do not respond to me again.

I have no attitude, you came laughing into the thread with your own retardation of a post. I respond as I see fit.

There is absolutely NO reason for you to mod this driver to use on your card. It will do nothing to help you, especially when its the same thing as 266.58 WHQL.

Perhaps he should try updating his hardware and stop messing around with drivers that were never intended for his GPU in the first place and then cry about it when something goes wrong.
