Blood Omnicide(Blood Omen 3D remake)

Well yeah man, but I'd much rather they made a new game than remake the old ones. Let fans do the HD Graphics.

LOK definitely has my vote for a new game. CD should definitely make a new LOK game after TR:O.

 

just played teh demo, DAMN! nostalgia, running at high FPS at ultra quality, the FPS mode can bog down performance though, and at max it almost consumed a gigabyte of vram o_0

my only venture into the LoK world and one of my fave games.

(I read that SR2 wasn't as good, so I never tried it.)

Brilliant story and all that, but wouldn't be interested in gfx any less than this, so I can't really say that I'd be interested in Blood Omen or Blood Omnicide tbh.

 

Hmm, but Blood Omnicide looks great dude, I don't know why you wouldn't be that interested.

 

SR2 is more about story vs the gameplay of SR1 imo. As for Blood Omnicide, i noticed that cranking it up to the very max setting yields a ~950MB of vram consumption 0_o.

 

Hmm, I didn't check out VRAM Consumption, but I do run it at max. It looks beautiful though for a game from 1996.

Another video, showcasing some progress. This is nuts, they are doing a total 3D remake of a 60-80 hour game, when it was originally 2D...the amount of work put into it is surely rediculous...to not get paid for this...unbelievable.

I just picked up a big box copy on ebay, so I'm ready to go when this gets released. I never played the game back in the day, but I loves me some old school game play. Of course I don't have a problem with the graphics much as they are, so if this ends up dying out, I'll just enjoy the low resness.

 

Yeah, it's a fun game by itself.

I get mods, and some remakes, you know, like Black Mesa, that's an 8 hour game...

This is a 2D RPG being made in full 3D...with 60-80 hours of content, and a very large world, that's so much work and they can't sell it...the company should pick them up and sell it for 9.99$, it'd sell for sure.

 

A project like this could probably do very well on XBLA as well PC.

I love the LoK series, Ive played them all but still havent beat defiance.....
I bought BO1 on the PSN not too long ago, Im 1/2 way thru it now and now that theres a remake of it I am getting it for sure. Would love to get the 3d in there.

I never played this 100%. Only the first couple of hours since I've always had some trouble with old non 3d rpgs (needless to say Daggerfall turned me into an RPG'er) Btw i know this is not exactly an rpg

Shame they are now working on yet another Tomb Raider game/ I'd rather see them do stuff like this.
