Perfect timing as my GTX 570 just came in today. These drivers are the best I have seen from NV in a long while!

    tested:
    Bioshock 1/2
    Dirt
    All of the futuremark benches
    Furmark
Black Ops sp/mp (ready for true Black Ops SLI)

Obviously not much help for the 4/5 series guys

AA bug still in this set. I'm slowly losing faith in the PC market. I've been primarily a PC gamer since the 386, and recent times have really disapointed me greatly. Nothing but ported games from consoles, glitchy and buggy drivers beyond normal standards, and a new OS every other year. This is getting rediculous. :puke2:

Other than the AA bug, drivers are just like the last beta set.

Using a TV is more likely an adult set-up, kids will be the ones with monitors in their bedroom since they are alot cheaper.

Nvidia support TV's and 3DTV's, they even held back a driver to fix a bug with projectors, its not 2005 anymore.

Just tried these out on one of my partitions and have no issues with 16bit colour, or slow boot up times, will try some games now.

I assume you mean in Black Ops
I get a better frame-rate with single card PhysX than SLI
I will test it when I get home with new drivers to verify

It seems like it doesn't know how to throttle the cards. Eg games takes ages to open so does take ages to go from one benchmark run to the other in vantage. Eg when running Heaven Benchmark it takes some minutes to start and when it does it shoots away like a rocket and the frames just rush buy untill it finds it's pace.

Still I get the best Heaven score ever.... Vantage it never completes since it just sits at the last CPU 2 test.

266.35 works fine but have the AA bug.

Even though 2010 was one of the best years in recent PC gaming history...

    WOW Cataclysm (exclusive)

    Starcraft 2 (exclusive)

    Civ 5 (exclusive)

    Amnesia (exclusive/awesome game!)

    Minecraft (exclusive/indie game)

    etc,

plus all the regular console ports, plus we get exclusive maps for free in BC2, Valve summer and xmas sales were EPIC!

Yes we do get pushed and shoved around quite a bit, and consoles are hitting us hard but if people stop supporting the platform, or people choose to pirate every other game then why should the dev's and publishers even bother with PC???

Its not as if these drivers or any in recent memory are that bad that they simply do not work? People complain about, resolution sizes, colour tones, or no being able to set AA in games properly... really these to me are so small in comparison to actually being able to play the games that who cares. At least these bring performance improvements over the last set in quite a few games, plus IQ is great as well.

Well the problem is I don't like Cataclysm let alone WoW, and the only game on your list I play is SCII. I miss the good games from days past. Where is another Epic Unreal game? Geeze remake the first or something....I just miss good games. Also good drivers for good games.

Dude, clean install doesn't do what you think. It just decides whether the new install will preserve your control panel settings (manage 3d settings) or overwrite them with the new drivers defaults.

3D Marks 06 score went down about 400.
Otherwise it seems to be working good with games I play.

    Aion
    DIRT 2
    Starcraft 2
    Bad Company 2
    Resident Evil 5

Still can't use more than AA x8 in DIRT2 maybe it's not Nvidia driver that cause x16 not working?

There you go - tired. Again.
But this time without royal "we" :wanker:

On topic: I have a feeling gaming wise these will be good drivers.
Sadly, it looks like HTPC folks are screwed once again.

Seriously if you like SC2 then play Civ 5. I never ever played a Civ game before they simply looked boring to me. But, in all honesty its an awesome addictive game with hour and hours of reply value.

Also, it does not matter that you dont play WoW... neither do I. But the fact that we got 2... yes TWO... Blizzard games in one year is a feat in its own right.

I understand about the Unreal games, yea Unreal 3 was a bit of let down but it wasnt bad. People just did not even give that game a chance and now hardly anyone plays it (more people are still in '04 servers I think).

Just look at the year ahead...

    Bullet Storm,
    Rage,
    Skyrim,
    Batman: Arkham City,
    Crysis 2,

and a rumoured Diablo 3 release (very very unlikely lol)

yes some of these are console games too but still there all from respectable developers on new or tried and tested engines and all offer hundreds of hours of gameplay so what is not to look forward to?
