new driver by nvidia 266.35

Expect a new driver sometime around thursday wit AA bug fixed and more! as this will be a whql candidate!

Microstuttering has become megastuttering :/ Rolling back

 

After installing Nvidia 3D Vision Full CD v1.44 witch has this driver included Windows Live Mail 2011 started having error. When i open it says Windows Live Mail stopped working i try opening it a few times giving me that error until it finaly opens. Did this happen to anybody? Well gotta go back to the previous driver.

 

i ve bsods with these in WoW especially.
back to 262.44 which everything works excellent!

Actually I have also seen the post somewhere on Nvidia Forum. It was posted by a tech person from Nvidia and I believe he said a new driver that fixed the crash-at-higher-than-4xAA would be released close to the end of this month (I didn't see about this Thursday), and that it would highly possibly be a WHQL.

For me personally, I really enjoy this 266.35, which indeed gives me better and smoother in-game performance, and less stuttering, but of course, I do not use higher than 4xAA, so I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that the next will be even more awesome without the AA bug!

 

Maybe that was the key problem for me. I always use more than 4xAA as the performance hit is so small for this card.

 

Yeah we know it's going to be fixed, but it's not a crime to have a discussion on our troubles.

It's kinda common sense that if something like this won't be fixed, Nvidia would be sunk. These are some major issues.

 

Is that an educated guess or do you know for a fact that new drivers are coming out this week?

I've found the 266.44 drivers to be generally fine for the games I'm currently playing (mainly Divinity II: TDKS and NFS: Hot Pursuit, both with forced AA). However, I have come across a driver crash (which fortunately recovered) with Just Cause 2 when using 32xCSAA. I tend to use 8xAA or higher with almost all of my games so this AA bug is annoying to say the least as I can't be bothered to change all my profiles down to 4xAA. The sooner the new fixed drivers arrive, the better IMO. The AA bug is an embarassing oversight by NVIDIA to say the least.

 

these seem nice, done few test's and got a small boost to FPS and they are stable to so far.

I do not mes with my drivers to much but i think im gonna stick with these ones for now.

 

I was just over Jen Sun Huang's(CEO OF NVIDIA) Big Ass House! Over Da weekends Playing "Doctor And Patient" Game! I was the Doctor and He was the Patient and also he told me all his lil dirty secrets!

Argh they just released the Quadro 266.35 WHQL drivers that still contain the crashing issue. I'm praying the same doesn't happen with the Geforce 266.35s, though I have little hope.....

I tested in BC2 & the driver crashed within seconds.

Sorry, this is where I got tired of trying not to laugh....and decided to just ask. What is so damn hard to understand about this simple concept???

Now, the important part....any reason to avoid using the 266.35 drivers? I'm tired of reading all the bs and whining...
