Then play without VSync until Nvidia fixes it. Problem solved.

It supposedly makes SC2 look better so I'm happy about that, also running fine with SLI as well.

It's hard to verify that ambient occulsion is working for SC2 though...

Are people playing with VSync enabled then complaining about low GPU usage lol.

This driver set crashes BC2 and Dirt2 after abt an hour and 3 minutes respectively for me with my setup. Back to 265.90 and all is well again.

Stalker CoP runs great on these drivers, no problems. Playing with 16xCSAA + 4xTSSAA and it looks GREAT!

because their CPUs are bottlenecking their GPUs... but they dont want to hear that and blame the GPU.

    Yep mainly 580/570...

Took my LSI controller out to make my system as simple as possible and still get crashes in some games no matter what driver I use. Now I'm certain it's drivers and/or the game itself. For example in Just Cause 2 I can replicate a crash over and over and over without end by ramming a vehicle into another vehice on this one particular intersection. Now that sounds like a game issue if anything but drivers are far from perfect...

And another thing, before I switched from ATI to NV back in August of last year I ran GTX460's in SLI for over 3 months and I don't remember one major issue that I can report to you all...

These have been great for my 570GTX. I test ran every game I have installed and have had no issues with any of them.
For that card I highly recommend these.

thx! now i know why i had those flicker with 266.35 ... to high AA value ...
i had it on 265.90 too, a few times only ...

aint 22" ~1920*1080 ? :) ok .. ive got to go to school again ... :nerd:

*lol* ... theres a little difference between gpu-usage with vsync and the low-usage-bug ...

    C2Q Q8400 @ 3,8GHz - Intel P45 - GTX 460 - no vsync

    X6 1075T - 880G - GTX 470 - w/ vsync

Wow...I'm not sure what to make of this driver. Just about every game I've played does not get along with more than 4xAA and 2x Supersampling Transparancy AA.

If I crank up AA more than x4 in just about every game, i get the driver stops responding crap.:bang:

It's not just BC2 that does this.

    Black Ops
    FFXIV

    Just to name a few.

Source Engine games seem fine though. I might go back to the 263.09 WHQL set. That set gave me no major issues at all.

D'oh, you guys ruined all the fun :D

D'oh, you guys ruined all the fun :D. It has been so fun to read people complaining about GPU utilization. It was proved already when 8800 series was relased that too slow CPU drops utilization of fast GPU's because they come bottlenecks in some (or all) games. Another situation is that VSYNC is on and that limits fps usually to 30 or 60. This means less work for GPU's when the game normally runs in very high fps, or more work if the game is heavy.

These drivers crashes to desktop when playing BFBC2 all the time so no go for me. Or is does it crash if I disable AA?

Try 4xAA in game. Tons of people having this issues can run 4xAA just fine, including myself. If that does not work then yes, try to disable AA all together.

Or just go back to 263.09 WHQL like I may have to do.

I went back to 262.99 and haven't had one single crash in BFBC2 even if I set AA to 16x...

Yeah it's sad, I'm not sure what to make of all this, I'm really hoping Nvidia fixes this in the WHQL set coming end of the month. :bang:

Nvidia announced ages ago that this would be fixed in the next driver release.

No idea if it will be the WHQL one or not.
