fair play, that sounds good... and don't forget that Oblivion came out on 360 as well and it still ran like a dog even on monster rigs back in the day... I remember going from a 6600gt to 7800gt and 7900gt just for Oblivion, this is in time when 7900gtx was the best nvidia gpu... and I was getting poor performance. So much money spent and the game just wouldn't run well. I have my fingers crossed. And I also hope it'll be 100% first person friendly, some of the screenshots are 3rd person, I wouldn't like that to be fair, I don't mind having the option to switch to 3rd person, just hope the default view will be first person.

man, iam having hard times to understand you ..:(

Anyway, some people in our forums keeps asking for games that will give the value of their purchases like metro 2033 etc interms of visual quality and pc stressing...so we buy expensive stuff but keep playing console ports they say. well, my own opinion is i want pc stressing games too but when it runs crap in my pc that makes me sad...and actualy it depends on the OPTIMIZATION etc i think..anyway this goes offtopic..

just hoping a good optimized pc stressing game here.

I installed oblivion briefly on my current 285 rig, and without modding the game it still ran like relative garbage.

Compare those pictures with New Vegas/Oblivion.

    There's a bloody difference alright.

Well yeah, it doesnt look like a massive improvement, but looks like the landscape is just laid out better. The mountains look much better. The characters have more detail now and have more realistic clothing/armor where as in Oblivion everyone looked like they had football shoudler pads on.

^ Meh as long as it runs better, looks better, got better animations and feels good on PC.

Currently playing Oblivion with the hi-res texture mod and lots of other tweaks and mods running to make it look better and the level of detail in those screens looks far higher than the game I'm currently playing.
I hope the new game performs better than Oblivion, 2 gig of vram and it still stutters like a b****** in the outside environments.

Yeah, but compare them to pre-release Oblivion screenshots and the difference is almost nothing!

Indeed lol, the undeads look almost the as Fallout ghouls with diffrent colors and armor.

Don't get me wrong, I like the shots but it's obviosusly not a brand new engine but a heavy modified Gamebryo at best. I do hope they focus more on optimizing this time arround, regardless of how good it will look.

there was even this gamersheep video of some jackass talking into the camera summarizing the GI article like it was some brand new info, they made it and said it was gameplay video, all they showed was the launch trailer and video of the pictures in the scans LOL so stupid.

Great pics. Looks like Oblivion with better models, but thats ok as long as the playing time is over 20 hours again.

Oblivion cost me 1 month of my life but i enjoyed every minute.
