The performance is a bit disappointed. Guess they never expect the 580 and 570 and doing stuff at their own pace.

thats at uber high resolution :) the GTX 580 would lose because of vRAM issues. So yeah at these settings (5760x1080) Cayman is the smarter choice

I wouldnt say dissapointing though...I say in general its spot on and competitive against nvidia's offerings

I see the 2 GB vRAM is there for high resolution AND Eyefinity since that is AMD's gimmick.

If i was going to buy a card i would get a GTX570, roughly the same performance as a 6970 but cooler and costs less than a 6970, and prices are only likely to go up on the 6970, but down on the 570.

6950 seems a far better card in comparison though.

Looking at the reviews, aren't all 6970's slow speed versions lol.

Seriously though, too many people overhype stuff, AMD went quiet, and let the fans do the marketing for them, unfortunately the fans fecked it up.

What's with this 6970 slow/fast rumor? sounds bogus. Care to point out the source of this rumor?

OMG Gents, if you do not stop fighting then rest assured that in the very near future you'll have to be on the lookout for new forums.

Seriously grab a chill pill .. relax. You are fighting over a device that allows you to play games, that's all.

Discussions are fine, but let's not get personal and attack each other okay ? We are all here for the same reason, passion of computer hardware.

Now, don't say you have not been warned.
