Nice prices, must be slower than AMD expected, but if its true, then i can see me picking up a 6970 if release day drivers turn out better than 10.12. Will be abit of a kick in the teeth for 6870 owners though.
Got this from LINK REMOVED Check out what he says about those 8.851 drivers, and check out those prices, Nvidia are owned, 6970's £80+ cheaper than the 580, and can get 2x 6950's for the same price, and they'll smash it
So has Gibbo been releasing all these fake prices to increase traffic to OCUK then, i knew there was a reason i stopped buying from them a while back. I'm guessing the promises of GTX570's at £250 are probably lies too lol.
Yeah it is an unbelievable SHAME that a reseller pulls a stunt like that. They are under full NDA, I'm fairly sure that the next launch they will get very little product allocation. They are horny for traffic.
I'm just ashamed its a UK retailer. Just reading through those forums, and its incredibly ameteurish, think he is due another huge paycut if AMD dont give them any 6990's. It's all seems to be for publicity, claiming they have over 1000, and others only have 10, while also admitting most of them will be over £300, and they will be around £350 in January. Hope im allowed to post that.:3eyes:
He did get them, or is claiming he did anyway, but not when the cards first arrived. Which begs the queston, how many reviews on hardware sites were already completed and written by the time these rumoured drivers arrived?
He says he didn't get them, just go to their website and read through the topic. Obviously, I'm not allowed to post it here. He's not a reviewer, but a store owner.
Quite a stir this different information has caused. But Hilbert didn't deny any performance rumors (he only denied price.
According to this guy press got 8.790. http://shorten.frvr.net/go.php?s=qc (site is currently unavailable) http://shorten.frvr.net/go.php?s=qb
