Catalyst 10.12 with CCC2 on AMD site

On rage 3d the release notes for 10.11 CAP3 (dated 3rd Dec) are identical to the 10.12 CAP dated (dated 3rd Dec)

 

Is it just me, or do these seem to have better IQ ?

 

Yep, I downloaded the wrong driver set. There is Catalyst_10.12_CCC2_Preview_Win7_Dec7.exe for Windows 7.
So, clicking on this link :



may lead yo to wrong driver for Windows Vista, instead Windows 7 :

These drives throttle down to 157 MHZ which we all know is not useable for dual monitors creating a piece of sh!t flicker card and in general useless for video out to HD tv’s. AMD forgot and is now work on some huge UI. It is going to be huge alright ...... a huge piece of ...... Last good driver was 10.10e. Do they actually think we buy 300w cards and want to run them at 157 making then useless for any HT PC to save some watts?

 

Does this happen on the 6870 ?

AA is broken in PES and the gadgets dont work with them.

 

hmmm ... It works "as advertised" here. It even shaved 18 watts off the idle power consumption (as measured by the UPS), but that MIGHT be coincidence (however according to the data from the cards, they're running a little bit colder as well, which would explain). I'm still CPU-choked, not GPU-choked.

I'm back to 10.10e. After 10.11 gave me GSOD and BSOD and 10.12 brought back the memory clock issue, I'm scared of trying new drivers.

I reverted back to 10.10e as using MLAA constantly crashed my PC during Crysis Warhead when 6850 was OC'ed. It even crashed on stock clocks. MLAA with 10.10e does not crash on stock clocks, however it does crash with oc'ed too much.

 

i dont give a f*** about 10.12 i want 8.851 NOW..!! lol

 

So 10.11 CAP4 seem to be latest then ?!?!?!

 

When will people realise that all the ATI promises are laughable, and their drivers pale in comparison to the opposition almost every time?

Moving from a 5970 to a 580 was the best move i ever made!

 

i cant find vsync and the A.I slider is missing, but most annoyingly no MLAA, i seem to remember AMD/ATI stating that 5 series would be getting it as well as 6 series in the new 10.12 drivers, i see there shhitting out on 5 series customers already, going back to 10.11e:bang:
