I have a weird error since 10.12 CCC2, 3DMARK 11 wont open, it says "3DMARK 11 GUI has stopped working", any thoughts on why this happened?

AMD Catalyst 10.12 Preview for Windows 7– Featuring the new Catalyst Control Center

    or

AMD Catalyst™ Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technology Edition

Which advantages got the app? 89 megs vs 110 megs? what left in the small?

Installed these 10.12's with old CCC (dont want or need new one as use ATT anyway)

    Did clean install as always.

No probs so far. Played some BC2, smooth and solid as always.

Having said this I dont expect any probs as the only issue i've had with any ATI driver since April was that pink tint with 10.10 series.

APP also has OpenCL driver included, but has old CCC.
package with new CCC version may or may not have OpenCL support at this time/version, I haven't checked it yet.

Both support DirectCompute though and I don't know many applications that would need OpenCL for GPGPU at this time if any.

Also click on Individual Downloads and get the OpenCL Driver.

F ing finally! I've gotten so sick of stuttering. Did you install 10.12 over the existing driver or did you do a complete wipe of the existing first?

glad to see you 6800 owners got a decent driver. if you have a 5000 series move along, nothing to see here...besides the new ccc. every game that i have tried seems to be the same as it has been for the past few revisions. i tried: BFBC2, FONV and WoT beta. the one thing that i noticed was that the shrubs in FONV looked really fuzzy in the distance, like they did with previous beta drivers when i left surface format optimization on with the texture setting at quality. with the beta driver i switched these and the shrubs looked fine...there is no surfaceformat/texture quality setting like there was with the beta though...

Yeah no no surface format-texture quality settings at all in these. Kinda odd. Still shows up in Radeonpro though.

So any HD6870 owners noticed any improvements with these drivers?
I am still using 10.10 hotfix, it works good for me so no rush to update.

In fact, the vast majority of ATI/AMD drivers worked good for me and I think part, not all, but some part of people having problems with AMD drivers mess up their systems themselves. I never use so called tweakers, cleaner, sweepers or similar applications that claim to "fix" problems where none exist.
However I do agree AMD multi-GPU support is not at the top.

Arma 2 is still screwed in Crossfire, textures flickering and popping everywhere.

Seemed to have fixed it by disabling surface optimisation then loading the game up, but then just changing something else in the game's video settings broke it again.

    Nevermind.

I changed from 10.3 to this and I get stutter in sc2 when I scroll with the mouse. Only when I initiate the scrolling, not when it gets going. It's a shame because these drivers seem to run pretty well

CF is still broken in SC2 campaign scenes, although pylon power grid bug from 10.10x and 10.11 is gone.
