Catalyst 10.12 with CCC2 on AMD site

And I agree what a underwhelming driver, not that I expected anything less. No performance improvements, no new advanced options. Just a new CCC and that is also a bit pants tbh.

 

I tried Radeonpro but i couldn't get any of the other methods to work. Do they only work with dx9? or does the program need to be updated to work with a certain driver?

 

I thought everybody knew they were the same old drivers, HUGE = new CCC skin

Hmm, there is a slight increase in memory footprint overall but there is only one process for for the driver (w/o opening CCC). I'm not concerned there but will
keep an eye on it. One can pin your preference of features to the left so there is less clicking. So, I find that a good idea overall. I'm not sure if this version includes
a profile for 3d11 yet as I'm not seeing any difference in performance.

I haven't tried the new CAP yet.

 

does anybody know what profiles are included with the new CAP? I´ve been waiting for NFS Hot Pursuit to work in CrossFire since release.

 

Yeah, they are on AMD's website. I don't have it up at the moment though.
One thing I did notice is that this driver doesn't use MLAA, surface optimization, etc.

 

They run smoother for me in 3dMark11. The scores have not changed its just smoother.

Just downloaded Catalyst_10.12_CCC2_Preview_Vista_Dec7.exe from AMD official site. Did a clean install on Windows 7 x64 (HD5870) and there is no option to chose video driver to be installed, only CCC components and AVIVO. WTF! Newer happened in my entire life. WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF!

Video driver have to be manually installed from C:\AMD\Catalyst_10.12_CCC2_Preview_Vista_Dec7\Packages\Drivers\Display\LH6A_INF .
Monkeys in AMD driver team scores another point. Yeah! It was HUGE one.

 

Yes overdrive have some bugs i think, cause when i tried to update windows experience index with oc, it froze with grey screen with lines or so, but other stuff works ok with oc! Pink issue is still there when i tried to use EDID, saturation now works though. 3dmark 11 shows the same score, a bit lower though, but my issue is gone now, when temple demo was crashing while loading at all maxed out. Also i've noticed performance increase in NFS:HP, but bug with AA is not fixed, mby after next patch, but ATI said that it will be fixed in 10.12 driver. And i don't understand why they didn't include MLAA in driver for 5xxx series again! Can somebody modd them? So it's not HUGE after all, mby because it's just a preview driver, will see.

 

I have come across this problem before, in order to get all install options you must edit "InstallManager.cfg" and change ‘WorkaroundInstall´ from "false" to "true"

This has worked for me for last couple of driver releases...

 

U downloaded the Vista driver to install on Windows 7.

Unusually, the drivers are packaged as Vista x86/x64 or Windows 7 x86/x64 (not Vista/7 x86 and Vista/7 x64)

 

nope, oc still crashes, rolling back to 10.10e hotfix, hope they release 10.12 hotfix soon.

Theres CAP 10.12, but thay are dated 3rd Dec 2010, which makes them older than the 10.11 CAP4 dated 8th ????????
