I will quote Neliz who are testing the card right now ( beyond 3D ), about this red PCB .. and performance wise ( so it let us in the unknown and in the blind )

"i have only one thing to say : Red PCB "

Dual B. switch ( i let you fill the letter behind B.) .. It seems the new DrMos chips ( Texas Instrument chip ) can allow a lot of settings and control / management over the processors itself.

Shame these DrMos chips couldn't make the cards a bit faster . :wanker:

I thought that was 268.61mm, which is only 10.5 inches, so shorter than the 5870 :p

that card should not be 6970 but 6950, because 6970 is bigger than 5870... ;)

Cayman is not a simple refresh. Barts was, AFAIK, but not Cayman.

Still, I have no idea how well it will perform, but tbh, I am expecting a 6970 that nips at the heels of the 580, but does so with less power, heat and noise. Pretty much what ATI does nowadays.

keep that in mind...that everything we hear and say it's rumor and fake...:)

didnt anyone notice the 1600sp on leaked gpuz..?? gpuz never shows more but LESS when something is not compatible...!!!

that means it doesnt have 1536 for sure...what about it still has 1920 but gpu cant read more than this 1600 limit anyway...???

    i've noticed new standby/idle clocks....not 157/300 like 5xxx series....whoa..??!!

Thanks for the info. Now that is something, because I almost despaired.
How do you think, 1920 is real number?

the numbers are from 22-30 (1408sp -1920 sp)

it's what AMD decides...what die size they want...do you get it..??

1536 means that photo posted before 268.61mm, is shorter than 5870...if it was 1600 sp (25 SIMD) it would be around the size with 5870 (266-279mm)...

i dont know what AMD wants...POWER or SIZE...

but after a lot of calculations...1920sp model would have a size around 33cm...that;s HUGE...!!!

so...i dont expect it's easy...we will see...1920sp it's an overkill with 40nm chipset for "heart beat"...4 days remaining until the truth...:) but...have faith...

...they need a better architecture...do you remember the size difference between 5850 and 5870...??? that was only for 160 shaders...oh God..!!
