I dont mind cold. I love skiing. Going for a week trip next month. Theres lots of snow in Alps already.
The city i live, which is 26 c today , doesnt have sea. But the city im in since 3 days has sea and 30 c. Maybe sea has an effect on it ?
Its funny years ago my friend was arguing with me about: 0 c water freezes, how why not its not freezing now* shows a glass of water while it was-4c back then outside. Lol i couldnt got what he was after.
Rarely get really cold winters in England, generally about 8to 10c during the day and maybe -2 at night if it is bad. But I have a feeling it is going to be a very bad winter this time as we are getting that temperatures already since October which is very unusual. I'm in Scotland right now and we should not be gettign this cold weather till late December or early January
I'm glad that I don't live in Kilpisjärvi, -23.8 °C there ATM and on top of that the sun rises at 10:12 and sets at 14:31. +2 °C here and the sun stays up 'till 15:48 here.
Yeah we have about the same amount of sunlight where I live now. A few hours a day... it'll be completely gone in a couple of weeks. Svalbard has 4 months of polar night a year, which is quite extensive. Though, I've always been fascinated with the high north and I wouldn't mind living in Longyearbyen for some time if opportunity once allowed me to. Plus they pay nearly no taxes there and no VAT at all.
i hate the winter its so depressing when its cloudy and raining , i cant see how some find winter more fun that a sunny summer day
Nope I haven't, how is -2c or -4c "cold"? It may feel "cold" but I'm sure its nothing compared to Svalbard or -28c in Poland
Been dealing with frost for a while now (not ice), yesterday was a cool -4*C (indicated) and this morning was the same (except yesterday it rained and then froze overnight.
If this winter turns out colder than last year, I'm gonna be mad..! Average temp in January was -19,0°c
