Cayman XT and PRO are Radeon HD 6970 and HD 6950

At same time "early report about 6970" on the article of Fud = the rumored "leaked benchmark " of 3D vantage and unigine who have surface in October on the well known now china sites about a 6970 ( who was called 6870 at this time by them) .... where the cards was faster of a 5970 on Vantage (with no specific Cayman driver )... Fud will allways amazing me, on how they push a speculate rumor to another as a report.

 

Same chips, rebrand of the 5000 series, this has been confirmed for all but the 6970.

 

So,you afirm that 6000 series ,especially high performance 69xx are rebranded 5000?

 

I said the 69xx series isn't, but everything else in the 6xxx series so far is, yes, a rebrand.

You forgot about 68xx series, they differ from 5000 series.

 

those links don't say anything about the 68xx or 69xx series and as far as the 57xx series goes they haven't been rebranded 67xx (yet) as that site claims, so wat are u talking bout, I can go out and pick the first site I come across too, look: http://www.pixyland.org/peterpan/

 

I don't think GTX580 is going to get anything from the drivers since it's not new architecture. It's almost exactly same old GTX480.

AMD changed bit more in architecture on HD6 but i still doubt drivers will provide any real boosts (maybe in sigle games)
