im with ati, you have to wait a few months then you know whats funny about the game, i tried single player team deathmatch yesterday. and all the bots had name of people from my steam
Not get the latest version, just uninstall the current ones, clean up and reinstall. I used to get minor things like VSync failing if I were tweaking around using too many different programs like ATT, CCC etc. Reinstalling drivers after a cleanup usually fixed it.
thanks for suggesting, but im not gonna do that i think. vsync works on every other game, just not on this one.
no lag at all for my system, running max settings/aa/af/sync. see screens @ http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=3767413&postcount=636
Well, the console version was let down by things like a bug that prevents alot of gamers from using killstreaks in combat training. The visuals in mp also look inferior to it's predecessor. Getting pc version today, hopefully it will impress me more than the console counterpart.
initially i couldn't stand this game, the graphics looked too dated and the gameplay felt really lame as the A.I was freaking stupid and the weapons sound like capguns.....but the more i played i got used to it and it's actually kind of fun..
I'm liking this game. Just a shame about the stuttering issue. I'm one of the lucky ones though, my rig is fairly 'OK' and handles the jitters fairly well. It happens, but doesn't happen in a way that detracts from the game. Even online.
Just played the game, ive been gaming on the PC since 1995 and have played every major FPS to be released in the last 16 years. Here is my review. Good - amazing single player - even better multiplayer - as good or better than the modern warfare games - one of the best pc games of all time - hitbox of the COD engine is the best of any FPS - fast action in multiplayer - plenty of game modes to keep you busy - plenty of achievements to achieve - you now purchase perks and weapon upgrades - best COD to date and it wasnt made by Infinity Ward! - Great level design - dedicated servers! BAD - consoles are holding pc's back, this game is once again DX9, this is not acceptable for modern PC titles, especially an A+ title like this. - MAJOR performance issues, stuttering lag issues, LOW GPU usage, my GTX 480 SLI is not even being fully utilized while MW 1 and 2 fully use both GPU's, which use the same engine, what happened here Treyarch? were monkeys doing the Quality Assurance for the game? - 18 players max for multiplayer Overall thoughts If it weren't for the technical issues, this game would get a perfect 10 in my book. Im sure patches will be rolled out in the next coming weeks to fix some of these issues which should have been fixed before the release.
I have just found out that the game records ALL your games and stores them in the theater for you to watch. Is there anyway of disabling this recording, maybe a console command or something. I bet this is one of the main culprits of the lag issues. Remember "Clip Capture" from GTAIV how badly that lagged your fps. Anyone got any ideas of how to disable it?
http://bashandslash.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1153&Itemid=131 low sv_maxrate seems to be causing lag issues.
hmmmm hope that the servers will update their config to apply this. I have "rate" in the console window set to "25000" so maybe setting it to "5000" in console window will sort out the lag whilst the servers have it set to 5000?? I will go and test
Didn't play properly so far, just tested... CF works, 16x Edge Detect Adaptive AA+all maxed = it still looks fugly. No lags\stuttering at all.
Just tested sv_maxrate 25000 and it does help smooth out gameplay a little. But the servers need to change this as well for it to fix it. Plus I think this is effecting my GPU and frame rate as well. I am getting around 70 - 100fps on some maps (1080p, 4xaa, 16xaf, maxed out) for a GTX480 that is pretty low. No lag or stutter in online play?
