That Looks One Sweet Gfx Card...Anyone any idea on a launch date/availability. My 4870's are feeling old and im going with nv for the upgrade.
Actually it is only 13% faster on average at 19x12. Ranges from average 5% @ 1024 x 768 10% @ 1280 x 1024 12% @ 1680 x 1050 14% @ 2560 x 1600 So all in all 10% more than a stock 480 across all resolutions. Across all resolutions same as stock 5970. Only slightly slower at 1920 and 2560 up 2% and 5% same at 1680 x 1050. The cooler on the other hand does look very nice. The only thing that would make me buy them. I think I will be waiting to see what the red team does. I don't really need another 10% performance. Then again need is not the point.
that voltage limiter for OCCT and Furmark looks a crappy way to overcome power consumption issue, as it forces gpu to downclock for a sec or two and then back to full speed.. that doesn't look so healthy imo. edit: metro2033 1024x768 >> 1280x1024 what a fps hit, lol forget 1920x1200.. its ok in the rest, that higher texture fill rate helps a little.. looks like custom cooled 470gtx is the best performance=$$ ratio, cheap and oc'able to at least stock 580gtx speeds.
Probably not, unless you are really into Metro 2033, and I mean REALLY INTO IT lol... Very happy with my GTX 470. I just want that damn 262 driver set lol!.
