It's been a long time since I sat down & enjoyed a good beer. As a younger man I never really enjoyed the overly marketed beers such as Budweiser & Coors. They just didn't have much flavor, but I guess at the time it really wasn't about the flavor. I always stuck to the tried & true Yuengling Lager or Black & Tan with the occasional Heineken or Molson & others. I did frequent a local micro brewery names Iron Hill Brewery & enjoyed their Lodestone Lager on a regular basis, which may be my favorite beer every! Well today for the first time in a few years I decided to buy some beer to sit & enjoy while watching the Eagles beat The Colts. I decide to go with Yuengling & a "micro brewed beer" Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale. Short story made long, then short again, I just don't like the my old favorite Yuengling Lager. Taste like p*** water. But the VERY flavorful Dogfish Head beer was uncommonly good, with hints of coffee & dark chocolate. Anyway what's your favorite beer? Am I getting old or is my palette just more refined? Let me add, has Yuengling gone downhill?
My new favorite is Spaten Optimator. I have bought this every week now since over a month ago when I have discovered it. Long time favorite will always be Shiner Bock. If a bar or club down here doesnt have shiner, I will drink just liquor. I refuse to drink light beer ahaha.
Rickard's Pale Ale ... I like it 'cuz it's quite sweet ... for a heavier beer either the Rickard's Dark or Red. deltatux
Sorry should have asked for specifics. Let me add why is it your favorite beer? How's the flavor? What kinds of flavors does it encompass? Good initial bite or a great after taste? Smooth? ^ Always enjoyed Molson, though I haven't had it recently.
Ditto! But, it MUST be from Canada, and the alcohol content high.I'm not sure why, but I can drink loads of real Canadian beer, and be fine.Only one or two Buds, or similar piss water, and I'm sick to my stomach.
Thats why I like Spaten Optimator - 7.2% alch and its a sweet tasting beer. Oddly enough, I can only find it at a Korean store around here. I've had a few different Spatens before, but the Optimator just stood out from the first taste.
I don't know if I drink Molson Canadian too fast I feel like puking so I can never chug it xD. If I want to drink it, I have to drink it real slow else I would wanna puke lol. I like Rickard's and Alexander Keith's better. They taste a lot better lol. deltatux
I've never really tried any beer aside from the mass marketed ones (That's because i live in a small country with only a few choices and most are the usual ones and the national ones) So, my favorite is Miller
ye, I like Miller Draft as well, usually what I get at the campus building I'm always in lol deltatux
I love Coronas, still my fav beer, but lately i've been drinking 'XXXX Summer' it's a full strength low carb beer, like 100kj per bottle. Gotta think about these things you know
