LOL no one has single core processors anymore, I can do a system scan while benchmarking and there is no difference.

Yeah man I totally agree with you on that one. Plus who knows what the creator of the graph used as values to calculate the normalized values and ratios. It could be inaccurate as hell.

Sever never even mentioned about a single core processor. He is referring to a graph. I have no clue how you got single core processor out of that one. :thumbdown

That is such a rip off. I would most definitely rather buy a 6990 for about the same price as a GTX 580 for $600.00. Plus the 580 is just going to run hot as hell and melt all over your computer.

When he said you could gain 4fps just by disabling antivirus software.

Yes you could gain 4fps when you have a single core cpu, but with a dual, quad, six core cpu, you wont loose fps while running antivirus software.

Card looks good doesnt it? im torn about rather or not I should sell this GTX 480 of mine but the thing overclocks so very good that Im afraid to sell it because it might not be worth it in the long run. Im running 930mhz core stable and its pretty much eating through everything.

My gut tells me the HD 6970 will edge out the GTX 580 for the most part but I guess we will have to wait and see. I have no real preference toward ATI or Nvidia but I have always had a soft spot for ATI hardware.
