P45 should not have this problem, so you're good. The problem can appear only on P55, X58 chipset from what I heard.

So now you are getting way better numbers than I! LOL

I am maxing out at just above 3GB/sec either way.

EDIT: Nevermind - just ran it again with the latest intel chipset drivers and am getting 6GB/sec+ in both directions. All is good. :)

So that solves it then. It is a driver issue conflict with Intel Chipsets. So it seems 10.9a solved it.

I also found out for mobile users, the Intel Chipset PCI-E 2.0 is limited at 2.5 gb/s

    So both mysteries solve :p

both 10.9 and 10.9a gives me 6 gb/s instead of 700 mb ^^ But what exactly does it mean?

i'm serious, can anybody tell me what it means? i'm using 10.3 right now, but with 10.9 and 10.10 I get a 6 Gb/s instead of .7 Gb/s, pretty significant difference, so I'm very curious

    6 or 7 Gb/s is ok.
Anyway it only applies for applications that can use GPGPU.

I get awful performance in this test :(

I have 2 x 5850 crossfired on catalyst 10.10 on linux (but I tried under Windows and 10.10a drivers and the situation is similar) and the results are these :
