CoreAVC 2.0 is ok, best software decoder out there, both for video quality, and also low CPU usage, ffdshow used to be great, but has fallen down alot recently, lots of updates, but nothing quality based.
I personally prefer proper DXVA, and PDVD10 decoder to be be exact, but i do agree CoreAVC 2.0 does need an update, its been far too long, and with Nvidia updating Cuda all the time, problems are bound to arise

Give me an "modern" alternate that can put decoding charge on the GPU instead of the CPU and ill try it...

I tried VLC, DXVA, Powerdvd and a hole bunch of player and none gives result has Coreavc.

Anyway i don't care about if its outdated or not, the fact is that it use to work fine before this driver release and it stutter now. Should i change a decoder because the driver intruduced a bug? I don't thinks so...

Well, yes you should, CoreAVC uses Cuda, which is updated all the time, and if CoreAVC isn't, the isues will appear, so best you stick with older drivers then.

My guess as i said before is that the new drivers, are prioritizing the audio clock, over the video one, now that they have added HD Audio over HDMI, and i would hazard a guess that all the people having stutter issues are using SPDIF for audio.

SPDIF is not true HDMI, SPDIF is true the Digital audio out of the onboard MB
sound Chip, and not true HDMI.

I use Video from my HDMI, and Audio from my onboard MB SPDIF out.

Are there People here that also use the Audio from the HDMI that hase this
    problem?

Hey didn't get your PM as my inbox is full again, but if it's about HPET you should find it in the Power menu under API settings.

OK what I said was actually a lie..it's only been since using the 260.93 drivers that I can enable threaded optimization without the game stuttering.. :p

I never said it was true HDMI, but they are both digital formats, where the original stream is output for decoding in an external decoder, rather than being done by the sound card, or software decoders, they only differ in bandwidth available.

My point was that since the audio signal has to be very exact when using digital formats, it increases the chances of video stuttering.

Does anybody have the problem that power management mode doesnt stick? The first thing I do is change it from adaptive to prefer maximum performance, and atleast 3 times in the last couple days it has changed back to adaptive.
