    I have a X4 955 + Palit gtx 260 sonic and I get 50 fps in the game on low, ultra, rain or dry and the CPU and GPU load is always 99% in the menu's and 60% in the game.

    Weird I get a constant 80-85% gpu usage across both of my GPU's when I run this game. In fact I don't think I've ever seen the usage so constant, without dips in usage which indicates to me the game is very well balanced.....

    I have a couple of 480's and only get max 60% on both AFR2. Single card will max.

    i don't get it. it seems the 4xx series cards are underperforming in F1 2010.

    i'm pretty sure it is not, but is this game heavily dependent on quads?

    @triskele10

    what reso are you running buddy?

    edit typo: pretty sure

    I agree, its the game. Otherwise the low fps issue would only happen on GTX460´s, which it dont. It happens on ATI systems as well.

    Probably it will take a while to be released. My guess is in a month we will see it.

    getting really fed up with this game crashing. Works fine for a while then either crashes or FPS hit the floor( i.e. will drop to around 28FPS ), ALT+Tab then will cause it to crash. POS,only started happening on Silverstone

    when are people gonna realise that games are NOT all just designed to max out graphics cards

    there are alot of factors on the PC that game developers have to adhere to for compatability and performance across multipul hardware configurations

    benchmarks/stress tests are specifically designed to push the load to the absolute max and should not be compaired with the latest games

    @macdaddy/Haze303

    i don't know man. but i think my rig should be getting more than 25-30fps on average @1920x1080. i'm currently just bordering 60% gpu load in a race, so that makes me think that I should really be getting more than 25-30fps. strangely though, the GPU works at 97%~99%% in the menu overlays! LOL. I would have cared less about this issue if it was the opposite.

    there are people speculating that CM actually coded the game wrong. that instead of capping framerates to 60, it was the GPU load that was capped. i don't know if that is even possible, but w/e, it's in CM's forums.

    Real reason for low GPU Usage?

    wrt to the patch:

    What I did was to set the graphics to ultra and then lowered car reflections and shadows to medium (not a huge visual difference, and got 50 +/- fps average) while a patch or a new driver is released.

    Thx for letting us know! ;) And it is more than just the game, as this behaviour is happening on BFBC2 on my GTX460 as well? I have sometimes 60fps (gpu@60load), but often drops down to 40-55-fps with gpu load still at only 40-50%. So my guess is that the drivers are not matured for GTX460, but maybe even the whole 400series is under optimized in the drivers? Im not sure, but it seems possible.

    Im getting the same problems with FSX. 30%-40% gpu with cpu 80%-90% so its not a bottle neck. I hope nvidia fixes these low gpu issues before amds new cards come out. i WILL rma My 470 if this isnt fixed by then. So far bfbc2, wings of prey, FSX and others play the same or just a bit better than My old 8800gtx.

    With my set up F1 is using 60% max load on each card. Single card it reaches mid 90% load. Also all 8 threads of my CPU is showing average 60% load. The only game that I have seen that actually puts my card at 99% load all the time no matter what area or scene during game is Aliens vs predator. Some other games come close like Crysis 94% load.
