    well they are ok to some point;
-Justcause2 runs great same as with 259.32 or 258.96,
-RE5 is also good and they improved one particular spot - it was a little worse with 259.32 or 258.96 at that same spot,
-heaven 2.0 is good too, great lowest and highest fps avg is better too, compared to older drivers
-Lostplanet2 runs the same as with 259.32 or 258.96, maybe a little better in testB i gained 1.3fps lol

-Cod5 waw is so so, im not so sure about Knee-deep Multi Player map, im now hitting below 60fps by allot of foliage,.. im sure i was always above 60fps before, well anything below feels laggy:biggun:

-Dirt2 is really bad, they've broken something with the rest of the cards, it has some streaming issues.. like i said before it has a stutter/freeze spike when it shows the car for the first time and also sometimes it crashes/freezes on exit, its fine with 258.96 or 259.32.

i didnt test the rest, but usually if its ok with these, its ok in the rest; although because of Dirt2 issue they lost my vote.

i tested the drivers extensively, i've been using the 258.96 whql because they were the best for me but the 260.89 wins hands down, the 260.63 were garbage imo.

    1) first of all they fixed the slight pause that used to happend with the 260.63 when doubleclicking a videoclip (Avi, mpg, divx, mp4) etc and all is working well.

    2) best drivers for mafia 2, smooth as butter and the slight hitching that used to happend with 258 and 260.63 is gone, image quality is improved too in this game, far away objects seem sharper, they used to be far too blurry.

    3) framerate increase in Farcry 2 (2 fps)

    4) framerate increase in Just Cause 2 (3fps)

    5) framerate increase in Heaven benchmark (2fps)

    6) framerate increase in Darkest Of Days (2fps)

only lost a couple of fps in GTA4 (benched twice to get a reliable result) and Hawx DX10 mode.

all in all best drivers to date for me, they seem highly optimized for fermi.

also if anyone's interested in DPC results (i never had any dpc problem with any nvidia drivers and the 260.69 are no different for me) but heres a shot.

Aways make "Clean Install" when you install Beta or even WHQL drivers.

This sli profile for fifa11 works like a chram.

@1920x1080, all maxed out with the LOD patch(the one that eliminates the annoying LOD thing of the game)
32xS which is a mix of four frames with 8xs(4x multi-sampling+2x supersampling)FSAA combined with transparency supersampling 4x and blah blah everything.

rock solid 60fps with vsync on except '30fps replays' which seems to be a bug in the game.
haven't tested on a default profile though....:O so uhm.....

Dead rising2 however, runs at about same as previous 260.63 but WITHOUT the annoying lockups I've had with 260.63

anyway, fifa rocks this time around, I've played PES series before, but IMHO fifa11 is the best Kick ball game thus far.

    @ year
it affects mostly or only 460gtx, it looks like it depends on the driver for idle states and yours has hw controlled.

There is a similar thing with my current gpu; i had g80 before which had hw based fan, now this one-g92 uses sw and depends on the driver..

Luckily its fine with dpc, but i have a little higher around 100 because of this fan thing:bang:.. lol

They should work on any card 8000 series and after. The 260.63's worked fine on my GTX 260. Do you get an error message or something? What happens?

I have only ever used this driver and the 260.63 one on this card. I don't have a lot of room to talk comparison wise, but they seem to be exactly the same as the previous one. Though, I did have some trouble installing, when I chose to do a clean install it uninstalled and restarted like normal, but then it did not resume the install of the new driver automatically, so I had to relaunch it. Minor problem. Also now windows keeps installing like 5 or 6 of these audio devices, and I can only assume its related to the nvidia HDaudio deal (which I did not chose to install). I ended up just disabling them in the device manger though.

Custom resolutions still don't work through the nVidia controls and attempting to use them breaks 1:1 scaling, everything will stretch no matter what. Same problem as the last drivers. Nice going nVidia.

As Nvidia have already stated...they only had time to fix major bugs between this release and the last release.

And besides, it's beta for a reason...

I lost 300 points in Futuremark...big whoop, wanna fight about it? Well I don't because on the flip side these drivers seem more stable.

Guy with the oldest vid cards here. lol ... Best. Driver. Ever! At least for me on Win7 x64. 260.63 was great compared to all previous versions for me, but 260.89 actually manages to be even better, I can hardly believe it (of course, the praise will only last until a stupid driver crash-recover happens). But this driver eliminates fps slowdowns in TF2, and eliminates panning jerk-pauses in several of my other games.

Sorry, that simply isn't true. 6 and 7-series have lower priority obviously due to their age, but everything else is lumped together. The same bugs that affect 8-series will affect 9-series and GTX 200 series, so they all profit from the same fixes. It's the same architecture.

    Executable "fifa.exe"
    Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003
    Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004
    Setting ID_0x10930f46 = 0x00000001

hmm not convinced about these from a HTPC perspective, seem to detect skipping again like the previous 260 beta which i had to uninstall.

shame, from a gaming perspective these were much better.

of course will have to monitor as other factors can mess up the video smooth playback :)
