http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=267719 EA (And Dice) have taken the decision to rename the Taliban team (In MP) to Opposing Force, most likely following all the negative criticism that has been following since this was revealed, it's just a name change as I see it but I guess it'll somehow be seen as better somehow.
Well, as far as I remember they were called "insurgents" in the beta already. Maybe some PR guy thought it would be wise to call them Taliban on one of the shows, seems like that trick worked out.
I'm concerned, it doesn't have XP listed as an operating system, only Vista and 7. Should I just assume it's gonna work or am I in trouble?
Your all good! http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/542732.page Scroll down about half way and it says XP. That's the minimum requirements, the ones listed with the beta download are the recommended requirements.
World's first Medal of Honor review - GamesMaster gives 85% GM's looked favourably upon the collaboration between single-player developer Danger Close and multi-player studio DICE - giving the overall Medal of Honor package 85 per cent. The mag describes Medal of Honor as "A credible shooter that's more realistic than CoD, with multiplayer that sees DICE on top form." However, there are suggestions that the online features somewhat over-shadow the single-player campaign. "Like Battlefield before it, Medal of Honor is an engrossing online shooter with an above-average campaign mode bolted on," says GamesMaster. "As a result, it's a purchase you should only seriously consider if your console is hooked up to the interwebs." Earlier today it was revealed that the Taliban will no longer be named as such in the Medal of Honor multiplayer out of respect for soldiers and their families. Naturally the whole Medal of Honor review can be found in issue 231 of GamesMaster. We haven't done it justice here, so make sure you check it out. http://www.medalofhonor.com/pcopenbeta Beta download links, starts October 4th so you can't play until then. (Also on Steam as a pre-load but encrypted.)
Ah i wondered why i found rapidshare links for the beta EDIT: is there any time schedule when the beta starts tomorrow?
Beta is now online, Steam will unlock later on today as well, from what I've read it's not all that different from the previous beta so if you didn't like that you probably won't like this or the MP component of the retail game much either.
You kids really need to buck up your idea. Im 36, from the fun era of gaming. It IS NOT about being real. Its about enjoyment and good experience. Real will NEVER EVER enter into the game game senario. Not in 2020, not in 2066. Games are about fun. I wish you kids would get a clue.
If it was important to them they'd play Arma 2. I like games that are easy to learn but hard to master. MoH so far looks like fun and could be great if the balance is right. What really kills the fun for me usually is that certain point where you can't have a normal match anymore but always run into a bunch of raging kids that play in the most annoying way imaginable.
Then play ArmA. No one in their right mind would ever consider games like BF, COD, or MOH realistic or have those expectations.
Yeah i'm getting the Beta from steam aswell, not too bothered it doesn't unlock to later anyways since i need to get on with other stuff and i could do without the distraction.
Yes, I never said that I expect those games to be realistic. It was merely a reply to TriGGlety's statement that "Real will NEVER EVER enter into the game game senario".
