ok, I will try it ASAP mate. Hope it has no OC implied and it will work on my Gigabyte just like it did on your EVGA. One last question... on your last idle screenshot, what was your VGA fan % at that temperature range? Take care!

EDIT: It is stable on all conditions. But I see no major temperature difference from 0.7V, maybe 1 degree at most.

    45% fan speed :D

last screen shot is very good because room temp is ~20 c .

but this screen shot with ~30 c :

this is my idle with the Bios you provided on 45% fan as well. The ambient is around 29 C.

well I noticed that a pci fan extracter below the sink "grill" would shave off 3-5 degrees of temperature on load. This BIOS does (70% fan) 78-80 C on furmark as well on same ambient (29C). So after bios update from NVIDIA and some tweaks we can say that 480 is not a "so" hot and high consuming enthusiast VGA solution.

I wonder if we could decrease the 1.062V of performance level 1 and 2 as well and remain stable for someone like me who doesn't OC their card and what impact that would have on temperatures, performance and stability... Anyway OCers could still OC with Afterburner tool.

Tested it (took it from the other thread) and also works like a charm. I get 83-84 C on Furmark and 70-80 gaming. It's really nice!

.6v was no challenge, but i was getting ready to experience a crash due to not enough voltage. But exactly like Infinity's results, i got to .6v no problem and it got me all the way down to 26c (on water of course) at idle.

Still, i think it could go lower, but the bios that was designed for this card cant go lower than .6v (for reasons of a newb user not knowing he set his voltage too low :nerd:).

You should try creating a profile for 3D mode (games and anything that accesses Direct3D or OpenGL) and setting the fan to 70% manual with an overclock with at least 800/1600/2000-2083. you should be able to still keep your voltage the same, but if not, 1.063v is what i also used around there.

When i modded this bios to .6v, i made the 2D clocks go right to the idle state clocks instead of the stock clocks that come with the card (701/1402/1848) so the temp drops like 12c just from that.

I did notice that 1.050v (or 1.062v) at 2d clocks is an issue with this bios, but if you put it in Nibitor and select Fermi Voltage under the menu where you read device, you can change that from defaulting to 1.062v everytime (i made mine go right to 405/810/324 instead of going to stock clocks of 701/1402/1848)

Lol thats a big jump though for someone who doesnt think he need's the added power. Still, 750 is a mild overclock that wont see much difference. i got to 833 when i was on air before i had to turn the fan up so 800 shouldnt be bad.

    uhm its left on automatic.

aka 44% at idle does't get anywhere close to 70% fan speed during full load except furmark for example.

oh but thats why. your using stock clocks. still its pretty good for that fan speed. your bios is the latest too :)
