ive lost about 10fps overnight with these drivers on BFBC2 :bang:, i was holding a steady 60fps up untill last night when it dropped to 45-50fps.... i tried troubleshooting the issue but after counting out all other options im left with the drivers as the culprit..

i had to lower game settings & that was no good so im back on 258.xx drivers. :3eyes:

I just signed up hearing the news about the Palit BIOS. Has a changelog been released? I'm still on the previous one (40% fan fix).

Now drivers 260.63 works fine for me, but after bios update i have only 950MHz*4=3800MHz, but it should be 1000*4=4000MHz! What is going on Plait?!!

Yeah, I got an email from Gainward too about the new BIOS 0920-2, but the problem is that I can`t install the BIOS. When I launch the setup it just goes idle, with that warning message on screen and doing nothing else. Anyone know a fix for this ?

palit and gainward release a new bios, the code must be 70.04.1B.00.02

didn't tried yet, i'm at work...users on xp confirmed that it work, on seven x64 waiting for feedbacks

ps: i know for sure that leaves the default frequencies, so no 1900mhz ram

Mafia II runs well with these drivers, the occasional stutter but that's my fault as I've maxed out the settings in the game. The benchmark shows up as...Rank D but in game it's as smooth as butter.

Card is overclocked from 607MHz to 700MHz on default voltage of 0.987VDDC.
Memory is overclocked from 1647MHz to 1800MHz.

Just pushed it further last night to 720MHz and 1850MHz on stock voltage and will test it further, ideally I will want a Rank C.

lol is this still a driver thread or is it now how do you update your 460 palit/gainward bios thread?

seriously wdf.. all the sudden your 460gtx gpus with updated bios suck??

blame nvidia not the bios., they changed something again and made it even worse..

I received more correspondence from Palit today and they sent a working bios (no lockups in 260.63) for Palit GTX 460 2GB cards :D

I've uploaded the BIOS, but i must stress that this is for 2GB Palit cards only the 1GB and 768MB card versions are incompatible with the 2GB bios (i know, i've tried)

Bios File (in Rom format not .exe :D):

It might work on 2GB gainward cards though, if you disable protection, but i wouldn't recommend it.

Huh.. strange things were happening today with this driverset.
I booted up and windows7 didnt feel like loading the driver. In my device manger it kept saying something like device not working properly under my GTX 470 cards. I just rebooted over and over and over again but that didn't fix it at all. (I checked the cards ofc, but they were properly installed and so on working perfectly)

So I just rolled back to WHQL and it's all working fine again. Very weird.
Now I had this problem 2 days ago aswell, but after 1 reboot it loaded the drivers properly and everything was fine. Weird weird stuff

I know what i see, for me the new bios is good, but they have change memory clock, from 4000mhz to 3800mhz! But i set it manually in AfterBurner. But still i will wait for better bios & drivers.
