There are mods for the RACE series and rFactor that outshine GP4. And we don't know how many options this game will give us yet. I don't know why everyone is assuming so much for a game that hasn't been released yet. We've seen bits and pieces but nothing really in-depth. Stop with all the assumptions and let's wait until we have some concrete evidence of the depth of this game.
hoping for a sim, i dont need the pc to drive for me. if its a rubbishy arcade i still have 2007 F1 mod for gtr evolution to fall back on.
Well I'm sorry to p1ss on your parade but seriously!? If the game had a realistic sim mode would they not show it off and gloat about it? All I've seen so far is pathetic arcade-ish racing in F1 cars, that's what the game is going to be and that's the end of it. I don't have to wait for the full game to make my mind up. The game is an arcade. If it was going to be a sim, they would be showing off all the realistic features of the game... I could come back here in a few weeks time and just say "I told ya" but I won't... The codies will never get a penny from me for this game...
Ok, eclap just do me one favour. I posted a video in this thread where there's a side by side comparison of F12010 vs real life. It's at Monaco in the wet. I'm not talking about the graphics, but about how accurate the timing of the lap is. The two "drivers" are very much in sync. If you take a game such as GRID, you would not see anything even remotely similar to the video I'm talking about. The handling in GRID is arcade. Driving a F1 game perfectly in sync to a real F1 car is not. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKRLSLY_CQg I still say wait for the game to be released. Maybe you're right, maybe not, but if you've made up your mind then that's cool.
Adrian Sutil playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6IMFFr9oZA DNF was pretty close at third sector of first lap, third lap went pretty well though.
I saw this video. You guys forget that this game is made in EGO engine version 2, it´s a upgrade version that will be used for GRID2 and Dirt3, so most likely contain improved handling over upgraded physics. I dont saying that we´ll see a full simulation here but a better cars behavior compared with GRID and Dirt2.
what times did he got? is it close to the real lap records? also, GJ (whoever is responsible for this event) for making sutil drive an STR car. lol
hope this brings back memories of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix series D: and EA's F1 series but seeing it similar to codemaster's racing games, i wont expect much PC controllers supported • Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller • Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel • Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel with Force Feedback • Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S / GT3 RS Wheel • Logitech Dual Action • Logitech MOMO Racing • Logitech MOMO Force • Logitech G25 Racing Wheel • Logitech G27 Racing Wheel • Logitech Rumble Pad 2 • Logitech Cordless Rumble Pad 2 • Logitech Driving Force GT • Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Clutch Edition • Thrustmaster Ferrari 430 Force Feedback Racing Wheel my ol rumblepad 2 will still be of use
