Having the source code, maybe some can compile it to run on ATI Stream or Plain OpenCL.
I would do it, if I know how :p

I get 48,5 fps at default particle size and 26,3 fps when doing 12 288 000 particles.

my new gtx480 (260.99wqhl and same OS) got min 36 fps* on same number.

    * - you may NOT click nor drag by mouse on DEFAULT resolution windowed.

it's wrong. therefore you try benchmark for minimum fps (not click nor drag by mouse). -> it's NEW. ;)

Let me see if I understand this; I simply click on the executable (cudaParticles.exe) and look at the fps displayed in the title bar? That is all I do to run the benchmark?

yes, "fps" is in title bar. yes, benchmark (you may not click nor drag by mouse ;) since run to start until all particles are stopping) and demo.

Thanks, so how long does it take to complete, I mean how will I know when it is done benchmarking?

Also, I get approximately 10fps, does that not seem low for my system?

if you have enabled gtx460's sli then you may get abnormal performance. but I don't test yet on sli. :(

Yes, SLI is enabled, but even if I were running a single 460, is 10fps not low compared to say the others using 9800 or 260 cards and getting in the 40s?

Yes, but is 10 fps normal for my rig?

no. I think 25~30fps on your gtx460 (sli disabled) at 12M particles. I got 36fps at this same number.
what is driver geforce and your OS?

    Win7 x64

At 12,001,200 particles I get approximately 11.5-11.9 fps in windowed mode, with SLI enabled.

    GPU1 loads about 23%, GPU2 loads around 70%.

Well, I have to RMA one of the cards.

Now, with one card installed, I get 55fps in the benchmark.

It could have been a problem with the defective card all along, but cudaparticles is the only benchmark that it affected. Strange.

I am not sure what you mean?

Anyway, I am saying that after the particles settle down to the bottom of the screen, I get 55 fps.

How do I record the minimum? It changes so fast in the title bar, I cannot see it.
