Like I posted in another thread, at first the test would not run at all in choosing either DX 9 or 11 at prompt. After updating with DXJun2010 redist, the game would boot into either mode, but only actually run Test A in DX9. If I tried to run Test A in DX11 mode test would crash after it loaded up, regardless of using Crossfire or a single card.

Scores for TEST A ONLY, using single HD5770 and also on last test run Crossfire HD5700:
    -----------------------
    one card 1360x768 DX 9c
    grade A 67 fps ave
    -----------------------
    one card 1920x1080 DX 9c
    grade B 46 fps ave
    -----------------------
    Crossfire 1920x1080 DX 9c
grade A 70 fps ave (mine area when heavy firefight started dropped to 52 fps average on one test run, but then on another ran at 62 fps average for that area)
All test set to high on details, ect, but no fsaa used.

    - This game and specially this bench have been developped in collaboration with nvidia for the DX11 ( and surely 9 too ) parts .... they use this bench as a Marketing material , this have nothing to do with ATI .... ATI was even don't know a bench will be released ....

There will surely be a CFX profile soon for DX11 ....

One exemple is the text from developper: " Nvidia have work closely with us for include DX11 Features as Tesselation in LP2 and for the developpement of the game, it's why we hardly recommend to use Nvidia hardware for play to Lost Planet 2. ( lol )"

It seems MSAA Off and MSAA 4X make no diffrence MSAA 4X is even faster is strange but true or the drivers are awesome lol.

What surprised me about the DX11 benchmark when I ran it on one HD 5870 was how little difference in performance there was between setting the DX11 Features to High and setting them to Off (around 10 fps on my system). I thought setting the DX11 Features to Off would claw back most of the performance and bring it closer to DX9 levels but it doesn't as it still runs a lot slower by about 15 fps from memory. I thought DX11 was multi-threaded and more optimised than DX9? If so then why doesn't it run better than DX9 when all the DX11 eye-candy is turned off?

    Dx9 Test A : 85,8 FPS
    Dx9 Test B : 51,8 FPS

    Dx11 Test A : 39,6 FPS
    Dx11 Test B : 41,0 FPS

Yeah, it should run better in the DX11 client when the eye-candy is off.
I guess they ****ed up big time in this game.

    This is a TERRIBLE benchmark

Not that it doesn't run well, but that its a bot running around, not a pre-set set of pathways for the bot to run through

Run the benchmark once, then run the same benchmark again, the bot changes what it does

This is a terrible indication of performance, cause for one person the bot may be staring at a wall, but for another person the bot may be staring at a GPU intensive scene

Very dissapointed in this benchmark program

@Valagard - I'd argue that it's a better representation of how the real game would run because no-one is going to play the game exactly the same every time. Thus the benchmark shows what variations to expect in the framerate depending on how you play the level. Randomness in benchmarks is a good thing IMO. ;)

I'd argue its a terrible way to run a benchmark

When the circumstances to the onscreen rendering keep changing, you can't compare different settings of the benchmark, or one PC to another PC's hardware configuration because the circumstances of the benchmark keep changing

Thats because its not a benchmark for benchmarkers to show off their epeen, thats not why Capcom release these for every game they bring out.

Test A is meant to let potential buyers know how the game will run on their system, since selling the game is Capcoms only care.

actually its around max 2-3 variations. First time he runs normally, second time he uses jumps and grips on upper platforms.

    normal
