Still trouble with making profiles. when using nvidiainspector.exe everything is ok. No sli preformance boost in Mafia 2 demo though. Even 3D is the same compared to playing it with the 258.96 driver.

 

I wonder what the problem is with the profiles, I can get them to work for a while, but then all of a sudden the whole system, gets into a mess.

Ok, had a look at Nvidia Inspector, how to you add games not in the default profile?

 

Add the game using Nvidia Control Panel, then the profile will show up in Inspector.

You can still tweak profiles through NCP, Inspector just ensures that your profiles stick.

Inspector gives you more control over the drivers, for example when profiling BF2, I discovered there is a driver flag that forces AA Override Application to revert to Application Controlled.

This explains why AA Override never worked in BF2 based games, I removed the flag and now Project Reality (BF2 mod) looks better than ever.

 

Yes and there are even more games where nvidia sets the AA option to enhance only in the control panel while there's no option to enable AA ingame. With nvidia inspector you can let enhance AA be treated as override.

 

I loaded these drivers yesterday. Tried out BFBC2 and it doesn't seem as smooth as the 259.12s. Performance as far as FPS seems about the same. I'll give it another go today before I go back to the 259.12s. Maybe it was just a fluke...

 

nope it wasnt gaydrivers it was gaywindows reinstalled the gaywindows and now dx11 works

 

I have no problem with Profiles, if i change something in game profiles it
sticks, and the profile do not go away.

I had not have the Profile problem anymore with Geforce Win7 x64 258.96
WHQL.

 

Depends on what he's trying to do. The only cards that can handle BC2 in 1080p resolutions max'd out in DX11 are the GTX 480 and HD 5970 with NO slowdowns.

did you update to the latest flash 10.1.82.76? maybe reinstall it for both browsers(ie8 and firefox)?



but i had another problem, profiles disappeared again.
It happened yesterday out of nowhere i was at desktop with a few open apps (word, winamp, firefox,msn, explorer) and when i opened nvcpl it was set to default; lol 5min earlier it showed everything...
I had to remove those files in DRS folder again and add permission to nvidia folder:infinity:.. although it worked ok since i installed these, dunno what cuased it now, maybe to many apps that where also in nvcpl profiles?c1:

 

And 2x Geforce GTX 460 1GB, they cost a lot less then a Ati HD5970, and are as fast as a Ati HD5970.

The Ati HD5970 is only 4 times faster then the Geforce GTX 460 1GB, and the
Geforce GTX 460 1GB is 4x faster then the Ati HD5970.

These run actually real good, I'm keeping them also.

 

Yes they are really fast, i went up from 2x Geforce 8800GT to now my 2x
Geforce GTX 460 1GB, and wow what a difference, but yes 2 mounts is a long
time to wait for something.

having odd corruption flashes with all latest 200 series and now using afterburner for while i finally notised that 2nd gpu clocks ramping, sometimes its just shader clock and sometimes all of em going down

now set to "prefer best performance" and "single monitor performance" modes, report later if it helps
