Not optimizing a demo is stupid, especially when the full game is out so soon.

How many people will decide to cancel the game, or pirate it based on the demo.

Demo runs on my rig in the sig, 60 FPS, except for one moment of 52FPS when the fires started.

    1680 x 1050, 4x AF, 0xAA, Medium geometry, no AO.

Runs better than GTA ever did, and makes Just Cause 2 look like crap.

Agreed for the most part, meets Just Cause 2 and exceeds a little.

Look at these sexy GPU usages guys ;)

That was with High PhyX on anyway... I'm gonna try with off.

Thanks god they released a demo. I cannot buy a game that runs like this.

I recommend sacrificing the two pieces of metal and two pieces of glass shards that come out when things are shot for the 30 FPS boost and just put it at medium physx instead of high.

If anyone cares, eventually i'll be putting up a video that compares no physx, medium and high one after the other. Just to give you an idea.

there's no visual difference between high and medium, just performance boost..but the problem is not from the physx, as you can see,11% gpu usage.

Ran awesome for me with everything max and physX to medium, looks awesome and plays nearly aswell, definalty getting this one when its released.

Loving the physX stuff, makes the game look so much better.

Well I'm REALLY disapointed honestly. It's just not a great game. :/

Am I the only one who actually enjoyed demo along with its performance? If so, I guess then it's the first PhysX title that really requires a powerful standalone PPU.

@those with Fermi SLi configs: try to set your second GPU as a PPU.

SLI does work. In fact I'm surprised it does. PhysX however doesn't work. I've seen better PhysX effects in games and they didn't require OMGPPU power.

Do they really think I will buy this game in this state? I might be one of the biggest Nvidia fanboy here, but it's not impressing me at all.

I like the demo quite a bit, but when Physx is enabled the GPU usage drops to around 20%. That's a glitch & one I'm sure they'll fix. I can live without Physx but I doubt once the issue is fixed it'll req a seperate Physx card if ran on a high end GTX 4xx.

If they do fix that, would that only benefit Nvidia users, or also ATI?

ati users that have an nvidia physx card, i suppose.

the option is no longer available, with the new physx mod 1.04ff, the only way to see if physx is enable is to go into nvidia control panel->manage 3D settings-> select from the list CUDA - GPUs and in the right side of this option it should say "all" if you click it you will see GT240 selected, if it's not just select it..

that's how you enable and disable physx via control panel..

Let's hope that it's NV driver fail, not devs one... I'm not a fanboy or something, but it's quite funny to see NV screw itself on this "selling" feature while "forbidden" hybrid ATi systems run this game flawlessly.

That's what I get in refinery with all maxed\AA on\Apex "high" anyway (FPS counter is on the top right corner)
